If you didn't already know, NBPL 5260, Norfolk Southern's Belt Line Heritage Unit derailed the other day in North Carolina. I got the opportunity to see this unit in action on 275 to Norfolk just a few months prior to the derailment. Hopefully this unit gets repaired, but 5260 is definitely in rough shape. Also, keep the crew of the train in your prayers. 🙏
These legendary Legacy Acela's are finally coming to an end of their lives, and they will be retired by the beginning of 2027. These served on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor for many decades, and now, it's all coming to an end.
25 years ago today, hijackers crashed 4 planes, two into the World Trade Center buildings, one into the Pentagon, and one into a field in Pennsylvania. Today, we remember all who gave their lives to save those who were trapped in the buildings. The firefighters, police officers, and the passengers who became heroes on Flight 93. May God Bless every single one of them and their families, and God Bless America.
