Someone said, “Here come them mean ass Virgos” that’s right, WE ARE COMING! ♍️😂✨ I’m looking forward to this next solar return another trip around the sun, another level unlocked, another year of becoming more ME. 🌞💫
Black Autism Acceptance Day is about making space for all of us. This day is an opportunity to celebrate Black autistic identity, joy, community, creativity, advocacy, and everything that makes us who we are. There is no one “right” way to show up. Maybe you want to post yourself and let the world see your Black autistic joy. Maybe you want to amplify another Black autistic voice. Maybe you want to talk about the barriers and systemic issues that continue to create disparities for Black autistic people. Maybe you want to connect with community, celebrate your accomplishments, create something, rest, or simply exist as yourself. All of it belongs here. You don't have to educate everyone. You don't have to explain your existence. You don't have to be loud to matter. You don't have to accomplish something to be worthy of celebration. Whether you’re newly discovering your autistic identity, have known for years, are openly autistic, privately autistic, self-diagnosed, formally diagnosed, or still figuring things out you deserve to feel seen, respected, and welcomed 🤎🫶🏽
I’ve had the honor of illustrating around 10 coloring books, some created for others and some that are completely my own. 🩷🫶🏽
These are my books, my vision, and my heart. 💖
Every coloring book I’ve created has its own special meaning, but they all share one purpose: to remind Black girls that they are worthy, beautiful, capable, and deserving of love, celebration, and joy. Every page was created to help them see their value, embrace who they are, and know that they belong. 🖤✨
I’m also especially proud to have created two coloring books dedicated to autistic children. ♾️ Representation matters. Every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they color and to have spaces that celebrate who they are in ways that are joyful, affirming, and inclusive.
Coloring isn't just fun. It encourages creativity, self-expression, mindfulness, and confidence for children and adults alike.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey as an author and illustrator. Every page colored is a reminder that representation, creativity, and imagination truly matter. 🥹🩷
Non-autistic people talk about their lives, their struggles, their wins, their identities, ALL THE F’N TIME and nobody accuses them of making it their whole personality. But the moment autistic people share our experiences or celebrate the things that bring us joy, suddenly we're "making everything about autism" or "romanticizing" it.
Maybe the real issue is that society has been so conditioned to avoid anything that makes people uncomfortable that even seeing disabled people exist openly, happily, and authentically feels like too much.
We’re opening space for something meaningful this September.
In honor of Black Autism Acceptance Day, we’re hosting a virtual summit centered on Black autistic voices, lived experience, and community knowledge. This is a space for sharing stories, building understanding, and honoring the many ways autism shows up in our communities.
We are currently inviting speakers, self-advocates, parents and caregivers, educators, clinicians, and community members, who want to contribute insight, reflection, or lived experience.
If you feel called to share, we would love to hear from you.
Black Girl Diagnosed is always looking to amplify the voices of Black disabled and neurodivergent people from all walks of life.
Are you an author, artist, entrepreneur, creative, advocate, educator, parent, or someone with a lived experience you'd like to share? We want to hear your story. Every journey is unique, and every voice helps build a stronger, more connected community.

Please consider requesting my children’s book “I’m Autistic & I’m Phenomenal” at your local library. Diverse books matter they help children of all backgrounds feel seen, valued, and inspired. For kids in low-income neighborhoods, libraries are often the only access point to books. By making inclusive stories more available, we can nurture empathy, understanding, and opportunity where it’s needed most.
Let’s work together to ensure every child including disabled children have a chance to see themselves in the pages of a book. Ask your library to carry this story it could mean the world to a young reader.
