The future of truck and tractor pulling took center stage at the Dragon Motorsports Southern Showdown in Millers Tavern, Virginia, on September 19, 2026, as kids ages 4 to 10 years old climbed aboard their own pulling machines for the Power Wheels Pull!
Young competitors brought out both truck and tractor-style Power Wheels, lining up on the dirt for some serious bragging rights. Just like the full-size machines, the kids competed in both Stock and Modified classes, giving everyone a chance to see everything from near-factory rides to customized machines built to pull.
There may have been smaller tires and younger drivers, but the competition was real! Families packed around the track as these future pullers learned what it feels like to hook to the sled, stay between the lines, and see just how far their truck or tractor could go.
Events like this are what help keep the sport growing, introducing the next generation to truck and tractor pulling while giving the kids a chance to be part of the show themselves.

Eddie Poore and the Sleeper Ram capped off a huge night in the 8000 Hot Street Diesel 4x4 class on Night 2 of the Southern Showdown at Dragon Motorsports Park! With Greg Poore behind the wheel of his dad’s truck, the Sleeper Ram laid down a winning pass of 321.63 feet to take the class victory. Greg also drove the truck to the 2026 Season Championship, giving the Poore family both the Southern Showdown win and the season title in one outstanding performance.
It was a special moment for Eddie and Greg Poore, proving once again that the Sleeper Ram was the truck to beat in the 8000 Hot Street Diesel 4x4 class all season long.

John T Davis and Young Gun of Davis Motorsports came out on top in the 6200 National 4x4 class on Night 2 of the Southern Showdown at Dragon Motorsports Park! John T laid down a winning pass of 333.26 feet to take the victory, while his brother Peyton Davis and The Punisher followed right behind in second with a 325.67-foot run. It was a huge night for the Davis family, going 1st and 2nd in one of the toughest truck classes of the event and east coast.
John Richard Davis and Seldom Seen rounded out the top three with a 321.08-foot pass, making it an even stronger showing for the Davis crew.
Congratulations to John T Davis and Young Gun on the win, and to Peyton Davis and The Punisher on a strong second-place finish in a great National 4x4 battle!

Crystal Willson and Her Dirty Money came out on top in the 6200 Super Modified 2WD class on Night 2 of the Southern Showdown at Dragon Motorsports Park!
Crystal laid down a 327.71 pass to take the win in an incredibly tight class, edging out Allen Brown and C Cab by just 0.04 feet at 327.67. Steve Willson and Dirty Money were right there as well with a 326.63 run. Temple and I were talking a week or so ago, and we wanted to extend a huge shout out to Allen Brown and Randy Brown. We both agreed having them at events and his gorgeous C Cab was just a real shot in the arm we needed and definitely added to the action on the track.
It was a tough break for Robbie Campbell and Reckless Horse, who actually made the longest run of the class at 332.74 feet, but crossed the white line and was unfortunately disqualified. Even with that disappointing ending to the Southern Showdown, Robbie and Reckless Horse capped off a tremendous year by earning the 2026 Super Modified 2WD Season Points Championship.

E L Harlow and the Harlow Harvester picked up the win in the 10,000 Super Pro Farm class on Night 2 of the Southern Showdown at Dragon Motorsports Park! Harlow powered the Harvester to a 319.45-foot run to take the top spot, edging out Lee Durrer and Old Grandma, who finished second at 318.08 feet.
The 2026 Super Pro Farm Championship went to Todd Tanner, Lee Durrer, and the Old Grandma International Harvester. Old Grandma was also part of the 100% club, attending every pull on the schedule this season. The team put together an incredibly consistent year with 2 first-place finishes, 3 seconds, and 4 thirds.
Congratulations to E.L. Harlow and the Harlow Harvester on the Southern Showdown win, and to the Old Grandma team on a well-earned 2026 championship!

Tracey Parker and his 1969 Ford picked up a big win in the 6200 Sportsman 4x4 class on Night 2 of the Southern Showdown at Dragon Motorsports Park!
Tracey put together a strong 338.97 pass to take the win, holding off Braden Worley and Rat Nasty, who finished second with a 334.00 run. That Rat Nasty truck has continued to make noticeable progress throughout the 2026 season, and it keeps creeping closer and closer to the top of this class.
The 2026 Sportsman 4x4 Championship belongs to David Whitley and Strokin, capping off a consistent season for the Chevy team.
Congratulations to Tracey Parker on the Southern Showdown win, to David Whitley on the season championship, and to all of the competitors who made the Sportsman 4x4 class such a strong one in 2026!
