A judge has denied Shanda Vander Ark’s appeal, leaving her conviction and sentence intact.

In the ruling, the court stated that the evidence against Vander Ark was “overwhelming” and concluded that even if her attorney’s performance had been deficient, it would not have changed the outcome of the trial.
