🇭🇹 **FARMING IN HAITI: BIG DREAMS, BIG CHALLENGES, AND THE POWER OF KONBIT!** 🌱🚜

What does it really take to cultivate a large piece of farmland in Haiti?

In this episode of Paulin Productions, my brother Jocelyn and I take you on an unforgettable journey into the realities of farming in Haiti.

Our garden is so large that the workload became overwhelming. We decided to hire **10 hardworking local people** to help us prepare and plant the land. What started as an agricultural project quickly became a lesson in teamwork, perseverance, community cooperation, and the challenges Haitian farmers face every day.

🚁 **A DRONE'S-EYE VIEW OF OUR FARM**

I flew my drone over the property to give viewers a breathtaking perspective of just how extensive this farmland is. Throughout the video, I documented the work, conversations, and small moments that demonstrate the tremendous physical effort required to cultivate land like this.

**THE CHALLENGES OF FARMING IN HAITI**

Having access to fertile land is one thing. Successfully cultivating, protecting, and harvesting crops is another story!

We discuss the serious obstacles farmers face, including:

- Limited financial resources, equipment, and agricultural supplies.
- Theft of crops before farmers can enjoy the fruits of their labor.
- Free-roaming animals destroying carefully planted crops.
- The difficulty of managing farmland located far from home.
- The enormous amount of physical labor required to maintain a large garden.

But this episode is also about something positive: **KONBIT — the Haitian tradition of working together to accomplish what individuals cannot easily achieve alone.**

By hiring 10 local workers, we are not only moving our agricultural project forward but also supporting members of the surrounding community.

At Paulin Productions, we believe Haiti's agricultural potential deserves greater attention, investment, and community participation.

🎥 Watch the raw footage, enjoy the drone views, meet the hardworking people, and experience the realities of cultivating land in Haiti.

🇭🇹 **WHEN HAITIANS COME TOGETHER, GREAT THINGS HAPPEN! | THE SPIRIT OF KONBIT!** 🤝🏽

In today's inspiring episode of Paulin Productions, we highlight an extraordinary act of generosity, community service, and solidarity taking place on our beautiful beach in Fort-Liberté, Haiti.

**Aya has decided to give back to the beach community by financing the construction of a much-needed public sanitation facility!**

This important project will feature:

🚻 **Four restroom stalls** — Two designated for men and two for women.

🚰 **Handwashing facilities** — Lavabos to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and public health.

🏖️ **A gift to the community** — A facility intended to serve beachgoers, residents, and visitors.

🎁 **My personal contribution** — During my interview with Aya, I proudly pledged **20 bags of cement** to help reduce the financial burden of this worthwhile project.

But this episode is about much more than building restrooms. It is about **KONBIT — the Haitian tradition of working together for the common good.**

At Paulin Productions, we strongly believe that Haiti's future prosperity depends on the willingness of its citizens, both at home and abroad, to collaborate, share resources, build networks, and invest in their communities.

We cannot always wait for someone else to solve our problems. Sometimes, meaningful progress begins when one person takes the initiative and others step forward to help.

**Aya took the initiative. I pledged my support. Now, we hope this example will inspire others to embrace the spirit of KONBIT!**

Through this episode, you will hear directly from Aya about his vision, the importance of this sanitation project, and how collective action can transform our communities.

This is the Haiti we want to showcase: a nation of resourceful, generous, and determined people working together to create lasting improvements.

**MEN ANPIL, CHAY PA LOU! 🇭🇹**
*Many hands make light work!*

🎥 Follow Paulin Productions as we document this project from its beginning through construction and, hopefully, its completion.

🇭🇹 **A NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS IN FORT-LIBERTÉ, HAITI!** 🛥️🌴

Welcome to Episode #1 of our exciting new **Boat Restoration & Island Adventures** series, brought to you by Paulin Productions!

While preparing for the grand opening of our beachfront burger joint in Fort-Liberté, Haiti, we discovered another opportunity: bringing Aya's old 8-passenger yacht back to life!

This boat has been sitting unused on the beach for a long time. Rather than allowing it to deteriorate further, I decided to explore the possibility of restoring it and putting it back into service.

In this 26-minute episode, you'll join Aya, our experienced boat repairman, and me as we inspect the vessel, discuss the necessary repairs, review a pro forma estimate for materials, and negotiate an agreement to begin the restoration.

**Our goal?** To have the boat ready by December 2026, hopefully in time for the grand opening of our beachfront burger joint!

But this is just the beginning!

In upcoming episodes, we'll document the restoration process, the challenges, the expenses, and hopefully the yacht's return to the water. We'll also explore the beautiful surrounding islands, beaches, and coastal attractions of northeastern Haiti.

This series is about more than repairing a boat. It's about entrepreneurship, restoring neglected resources, supporting local skilled workers, and discovering the tourism potential of Haiti.

🎥 **Episode #1 | Duration: 26 minutes**

👍 Like, comment, share, and subscribe to Paulin Productions to follow this exciting journey!

**QUESTION FOR OUR VIEWERS:** Do you think we can get this old yacht back on the water by December? Let us know in the comments!

Meet Mendel: A Skilled Haitian Ironworker Whose Work Speaks Louder Than Words!

Welcome to the first episode of our exciting new documentary series from Fort-Liberté, Haiti!

We have decided to embark on a new adventure: building a burger joint right on the beach across from our home in Fort-Liberté! What started as a simple idea is gradually becoming a reality, and we are inviting you to follow every step of this journey.

But this series is about much more than opening a small business. It is also about community development, Haitian entrepreneurship, determination, and the remarkable people who make things happen despite life's challenges.

MEET MENDEL — OUR TALENTED IRONWORKER

One of the most inspiring individuals involved in this project is Mendel, a highly skilled Haitian metalworker who does not communicate through speech.

Despite this communication barrier, Mendel has developed his skills, established his own trade, and works hard to support his family.

Our communication with Mendel is based on gestures, signs, demonstrations, mutual understanding, and a little common sense. It is a fascinating experience that reminds us that communication goes far beyond spoken words.

Mendel's craftsmanship and determination deserve recognition. His story demonstrates that a disability does not define a person's abilities, ambitions, or contributions to society.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE IN EPISODE 1

In this approximately 20-minute episode, we document the beginning of our construction project:

Our initial meeting with Mendel to discuss the work.

Negotiating and establishing our construction agreement.

Providing the funds necessary to purchase building materials.

The first stages of metal fabrication and construction.

How we communicate and coordinate the work without spoken language.

Our vision for transforming this beachfront location into a welcoming community business.

MORE THAN JUST A BURGER JOINT

Our goal is not simply to sell burgers. We want to demonstrate how small investments, local talent, and community participation can create meaningful opportunities in Haiti.

By hiring local craftsmen like Mendel, we contribute directly to the local economy while highlighting the skills and resourcefulness that already exist in our communities.

Throughout this series, we will document the successes, setbacks, construction expenses, challenges, and lessons learned as we work toward opening our beachfront burger joint.

As always with Paulin Productions, expect authentic, unscripted footage, real conversations, real challenges, and real Haitian experiences.

We invite you to follow this journey from the first construction meeting to the day we serve our first burger!

SUPPORT THE JOURNEY!

👍 Like this video if you believe in supporting local Haitian businesses.

💬 Leave a comment and tell us what you think about Mendel's craftsmanship and our beachfront project.

🔔 Subscribe to Paulin Productions so you don't miss the next episode.

🇭🇹 Together, we can showcase a different side of Haiti — one of resilience, creativity, entrepreneurship, and community pride.

This short documentary follows a critical journey to Acul Samedi, Aux Pêches, Haiti, to assist a young Haitian man who suffered a severe motorcycle accident two months earlier." https://youtu.be/5_2N4w3Jx88 " After initially transporting him from the hospital back to his home, complications arose when his injured leg became infected. Two weeks later, his sister urgently called for help to return him to medical care.
Departing from Fort-Liberté, the trip involved navigating deteriorated roads and multiple detours, turning what should have been a short drive into hours of difficult travel. Upon reaching Acul Samedi, the young man was transported back to the hospital, where further efforts were required to move him to the reception area so a doctor could assess his condition.
This 10-minute documentary captures the realities of accessing healthcare in rural Haiti and highlights the endurance, vulnerability, and resilience of a young man fighting for recovery against overwhelming odds.
