Seeking Out Sunshine

WOW! Kerby Rosanes' "Dark Fairy Tales" is only $9.52 in the US for Early Prime Days! This is not my usual "go-to" type of coloring book, but I am considering it for some fun October/Halloween coloring.

Do you have this book? What are your thoughts and opinions on it?

What other Halloween/Autumn books do you return to year after year? I am looking to add a few new ones to my collection.

Seeking Out Sunshine

1,000 Beautiful Friends! WHAT?!?!?!? I can hardly believe it! How lucky am I that I get to connect with so many amazing and brilliant souls on this creative journey? As I have reflected on these past six months, I am swept away by the immense amount of gratitude that my heart feels from all of you! You have been part of a journey for me to find my way again, one where I heard my heart strings whisper to my soul to start creating again...to trust that I did not need to know the answers or have it all figured out, but instead to allow the journey to unfold organically with all of you! To start scared and unsure of what was to come. I had no idea that I would once again not only fall in love with creating and coloring again, but that I would have the honor of discovering a magnificent tribe of humans that would cheer me on, encourage me, supported me, and inspire me every step of the way.  

Thank you for the rays of sunshine you have been in my life these last six months...the time you have taken to connect with me by watching my videos, leaving thoughtful and helpful comments, the likes, the encouraging DM's, the stories and moments of your own lives you have shared with me so vulnerably, hyping me up in my infancy, and inspiring me to continue to put myself out there each and every week. You all are the true MVPs of this experience...and my appreciation for you is endless!

So who is in for the next 6 months? Honestly...I wish I could tell you that I have a game plan and a road map to what is to come...but I am still a major WIP myself. I do have a feeling that it is only going to get better from here! I hope you will join me for it all!

Moving forward I will be changing my upload schedule for a few weeks to see if it will work better with my current routine, and where I am needed for my family throughout the week. I will continue to do my best to upload two videos each week...one on Tuesdays and the other on Fridays.

I am looking forward to the next six months, and I hope you are excited as well!

I would love your feedback on this series. Do you like that the full page process is broken up into smaller videos or would you prefer the entire process in one video instead of 3.

Seeking Out Sunshine

Hello Beautiful friends,

I wanted to share a change that you will be seeing when you visit our community moving forward. After watching ‪@PiggyPensTube‬ latest video on AI, my eyes were truly opened to the message I was sending to all of you by using an Avatar that I had created with the help of AI on my thumbnails. I honestly had not thought about what this could communicate to our art community, or the ways this meant I was not choosing to support the many artists that I look up to and wish to support.

If you have been around here for a while, you know that I am on a journey of growth and truly have the desire to continue to show up in all spaces as my true authentic self throughout that process, and hopefully inspire others to do the same. After some reflection, I have realized that these thumbnails were communicating the exact opposite of what my heart truly desires to do. And while I am sad I did not think about this prior, I am grateful for this moment where I am allowed to pivot and make a change to improve and show up as a better version of myself from what I have learned.

I have began the process of recreating all of my thumbnails, and will no longer be using the "Ashley" avatar that I created at the beginning of my journey here on YouTube moving forward. I hope that you will give me grace as this process may take a little while to complete.

I want to say thank you to all of my amazing subscribers and viewers that have supported me throughout the last 5 months. You will never know how much this community has poured into my spirit and given me "new life" in ways I desperately needed it. Thank you for choosing to be here even in my days of infancy. Thank you for allowing me to fumble and make mistakes and mess up on my words. Thank you for allowing me to feel like I can just show up as "ME."

I hope this message is an invitation to anyone else that feels like they need to make a change or pivot in their life to improve and that they can feel like they can do so, without worry or shame or needing to have it all figured out along the way.

This is what journeying together is all about. We show up today and give this thing called "life" our very best and then tomorrow we take the knowledge and wisdom that we have gathered from today and we do it a little better, not perfect...just better. Even if it is only 1%...we are moving in the right direction.

Thank you to ‪@PiggyPensTube‬ for the invitation of reflection you have gifted me with this past week. Today I am showing up better, not perfect, still flawed, but better. And tomorrow...I will do it all over again.

I am so grateful for each of you, this experience, and how everyday it is providing me with new opportunities to learn and grow. You are all sunshine to my soul! Thank you for choosing to be here!

Hi Friends!
Just wanted to give you a little channel update. There will not be a "Let Your Light Shine" this week or a "Strokes of Sunshine-Weekly WIP" video.  
Instead, tomorrow I will be posting my "July Completed Pages" in place of my "Strokes of Sunshine," and I will have another new video up on Saturday! I have lots of videos in the making, and I am trying to get them all edited and completed for August.
