First look at the US Amps Merlin X 8" subwoofer mockup.

This one is being developed from the ground up.

The basket is 100% designed and built in-house. We’re using a 3" precision Econowind copper voice coil over an aluminum former, backed by a double-stacked 165 oz ferrite motor.

The spider is also 100% designed and built in-house, and the final cone and surround will be designed and built by us as well.

We’re putting a lot of work into every part of this woofer instead of pulling parts off the shelf and calling it done.

This is only the first look at the Merlin X 8". More testing, changes, and development to come.

This little 6.5 is packing some serious hardware:

This is our first sample, so the testing is just getting started. We’re going to get it properly broken in, then run the full T/S parameter data and see exactly what this little guy can do.

Feature Ride: Team U.S. Amps ZTony8 Chevy Camaro

This one is coming in heavy.

The Team U.S. Amps ZTony8 Chevy Camaro is being built with one purpose in mind: serious output, serious control, and a full U.S. Amps system from front to back.

This build is not just getting a couple pieces thrown in. It is getting the full treatment with U.S. Amps amplifiers, speakers, subs, wire, DSP, and accessories powering the entire setup.

The foundation starts with the new U.S. Amps Hybrid 18s, built to move serious air and handle real power. Feeding them will be the new Merlin 10K, bringing big power and the kind of control needed for a build at this level.

For the mids and highs, this Camaro will be running the new V2 USA-100HC, along with the Impact 100.4, pushing a combination of Timbre 8s, Timbre 6s, and prototype compression horns. That means this build is not just designed to be loud. It is being built to stay loud, clear, and aggressive while doing it.

System control will come from the new U.S. Amps Legato 12 DSP, giving the build the tuning power it needs to keep everything dialed in. Power support includes a new LTO bank, a Mechman 400 amp alternator, and plenty of current delivery through U.S. Amps 4/0 and 1/0 wire.

This is what Team U.S. Amps is all about. Real builds. Real testing. Real power. Real car audio.

The ZTony8 Camaro is coming together with a full lineup of new U.S. Amps gear, and we cannot wait to see this thing finished, tuned, and putting in work.
