PHP security update: how CyberPanel is handling it

We are tracking CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. PHP has announced two critical vulnerabilities rated CVSS v4.0 9.2, with its security release scheduled for 21 October at 14:00 UTC (7 PM Pakistan). Affected versions and technical details are due with the release.

Our plan:
• Check official PHP advisories and applicable vendor packages every 30 minutes.
• Test the available patches on our owned QA server, covering website PHP AND CyberPanel’s separate panel PHP copy, phpMyAdmin and normal website operation.
• Release verified remediation and precise upgrade instructions after testing passes.
• Publish results and clearly identify any remaining OS or package-vendor limitations.

Status: monitoring and preparing; no verified fix announced yet. A CyberPanel version number alone does not prove that PHP is patched. Package availability may follow the upstream release at different times.

Please inventory your PHP versions, confirm backups and prepare a maintenance window. We will update this post as the situation develops.

CyberPanel 3.0.8 is now available.

The maintenance release collects fixes for backup failure reporting, restored ownership and certificate chains, upload filenames with apostrophes or parentheses, subdomain DKIM selection, aliases and upgrade recovery.

Take a current backup and server snapshot before upgrading. The ionCube/OPcache lint crash (#1924) remains open.
