New Worlds
Hey all my fellow Trek Fans, and wargamers!
You may have been wondering "What's Up?", as it has been a little while since the last video. Fair Question.
I've been taking a break from YouTube and @STNewWorlds, and will be away until the end of October. I'm questioning how to move forward with the channel, and If I do, what direction to take. Recently I've had some significantly negative experiences regarding the channel, the game, and our community. I'm unsure how to move forward in a way to keep things positive, fun, and interesting for you as the audience, and for me as a creator.
The things I'm thinking about:
- The channel is very small and is growing very slowly.
- We are a VERY niche subject and community (F&E Players), and I don't know how much we can grow considering the future of ADB and F&E as a whole.
- What is it that YOU as the audience WANT to see, because clearly, F&E content isn't really meeting the need.
- What OTHER content could I create that you would want to see?
- Would something completely different be better? OR would a slight pivot be better?
I had been thinking about creating a NEW game based on our collective experience with our Home Brew F&E. Creating a NEW 4 X strategy game could provide an interesting journey to document, and content to watch as we build and then playtest it. Would you want to see that? It wouldn't "Be Star Trek" due to IP and legal issues, but it could be SciFi and have a lot of similar elements.
To close:
I'm at a crossroads and need your help to figure out if we carry on a new path, go back the way we came, or just stop walking all together.
Let me know in the comments: What do you think? What are your ideas? What do you want to see?
Until then I'll be on the beach here on Riza trying to figure it out. (Not really on a tropical beach,.. but it is fun to dream!)
Cheers,

Hey #startrek fans!
I was thinking of remaking this video. What do you think? What mistakes did you catch? What should I include that wasn't in there before? Any specific requests?

After months of slanderous propaganda, aggressive posturing, and recent fleet movements by the GORN on the Northern border,... the question of whether WAR is Coming to the EAST is on everyone's mind.
How will the other factions respond? Is this an opportunity for regional neighbors to seize? Or will the destabilization of war cause conflict on all fronts?

A quick tease to an in-game press release for the Hydran Industry Corporate State (HICS). Fredric Brown (who wrote the TOS episode "Arena") is the credited HICS reporter who recently released this article on the efforts of the GRS.
The Gorn Supremacy has been making accusations of the Hydrans imprisoning Gorn captured during the Tholian/Gorn conflict most recently. As the investigative reporting (sponsored by GRS) has clearly uncovered, HICS and GRS charitable efforts have saved Gorn oppressed by the Supremacy. Without the GRS attempts to save these war veterans, their lives would have been spent as currency to buy a ceasefire with the Tholians.
