And once again, an opportunity to talk about what I love 😊
A few days ago, I was invited by Money9 to share my views on investments, SIPs, mutual funds, and insurance.

Being invited by platforms like these feels special. We often watch interviews on news channels and think they look easy, but being on the other side of the camera is a completely different experience.

But when you're talking about something you're passionate about, it comes naturally.
Financial awareness has always been close to my heart, and I'm always happy to share my knowledge, whether through my own channel or other media platforms.

Grateful for such opportunities, the recognition, and the chance to reach more people through conversations that matter. 🙏 #grateful

The award I received in 2006 holds a very special place in my heart. It was my first award, just a year after I started my journey with LIC in 2005.❤️

I began this journey with a simple thought of carrying forward my father’s legacy of trust, and that continues to be at the heart of everything I do.

I’m grateful for every award and recognition that has come my way over the years, but this one will always be different. It takes me back to where it all began and reminds me of how far this journey has brought me.

Some memories never lose their value. This is one of them.

Mother-daughter trips are different. ❤️
For me, as a mother, these trips are a bit of a stress buster.
And I feel I get to know my daughter a little better every time we travel together.
When you’re travelling together, you can sometimes be less of a mother and more of a friend.
You talk about things differently. You understand each other better.
And then I look at it from Gurbani’s side.
For her, I think it’s more like *me time*

There are so many things you can’t always talk about when the whole family is around. On our trips, we end up talking about all of that.
We share our stuff too. Makeup, clothes, shoes, shopping... everything. 😄

We’re not just travelling together

We’re getting to know each other, as a mother and daughter, but also a little bit as friends.
And I think that’s the best part.

Because someday, I know I’ll remember the time we spent together much more than the places we visited. #grateful

At Hareepatti, Fridays are not always about work. Sometimes, they’re about having a little fun with the team. 😊
Last week, we played Tambola for our Fun Friday activity. And the funny part? Some of our Gen Z team members had no idea how to play it. 😅
Explaining the game was a fun experience in itself.

But honestly, it was a good 30–40 minutes spent together.
A little laughter, some gifts, and a much-needed break after a busy week. I feel these small activities really matter. They give everyone a chance to unwind, bond with each other, and come back feeling a little more refreshed.

Also, if you’d like to be a part of the Hareepatti team, send your CV to hr@hareepatti.com. We’d love to hear from you.

Some of the best financial advice I’ve given clients has earned us ₹0.😊

“Don’t surrender this policy.”
“You don’t need another investment right now.”
“Your existing health insurance is fine.”
“Don’t switch funds just because it underperformed for a year.”

Not every conversation needs to end with a transaction.

Especially in financial services, where the person advising you may also earn when you buy something.

Sometimes, saying “You don’t need this” today is exactly why a family comes back five years later when they genuinely need your advice.

For 21 years, I’ve helped families plan for retirement. But now that Tikku Jee and I are planning our own, the conversation feels very different.

Like most parents, we’ve spent years prioritising our children’s future. It’s easy to put our own retirement on the back burner.

Lately, we’ve started asking ourselves: How much will we need? Where do we want to live? What will a fulfilling retirement look like?

One thing we both agree on: Our children should be free to build their own lives without worrying about supporting us financially.

Our children can be a part of our retirement life, but they shouldn’t have to be our retirement plan.

It’s advice I’ve shared for years. Now, it’s time to put it into practice.

From building a dream to celebrating it in London ❤️
Being recognised by HDFC ERGO as a CEO Club Advisor made this moment special, but celebrating it with Mumma and my sister made it unforgettable.

This recognition belongs to Team Hareepatti, our clients, and everyone who has been part of this journey.

Grateful for how far we’ve come, and excited for what lies ahead! 🙏

2004 mein ₹500 ka blanket bhi milta tha… aur ₹500 ka gold bhi. 😅
22 years later, those two ₹500 have very different stories to tell.

When Tikku ji and I got married in 2004, ₹500 was a perfectly respectable wedding gift. I remember blankets being commonly given during Milni and other wedding ceremonies. A good blanket could cost around ₹500.

Around the same time, roughly the same amount could buy a small quantity of gold.

Fast forward 22 years.

The blanket did what it was meant to do. It kept someone warm, got used, became old and perhaps eventually disappeared from the cupboard.

Gold had a very different journey.
And that’s a simple lesson in personal finance.

Some money buys consumption. Some money buys an asset.

Both have a purpose. But time treats them very differently.
This isn’t about stopping gifts and handing out gold coins at every wedding 😄

It’s simply a reminder that when we earn money, a small part should always be allowed to travel into the future with us.

Because what looks like ₹500 today can become a very different story 20 years from now.
