THE LORD REIGNETH
Hallelujah Challenge — Day 25

Speaker: Apostle Joshua Selman
Topic: The Lord Reigneth

Foundational Scriptures
- 1 Chronicles 29:11
- Psalm 103:14
- Daniel 7:14
- Psalm 22:27–28

1. Understanding the Revelation of God

God reveals Himself as:

1. Creator
2. Lord and King
3. Father

Additional Scripture: Isaiah 40:29

Three Basic Ways to Know God

There are three fundamental ways through which we can come to know God:

1. Study His nature— Understand who God is and the attributes that define Him.
2. Study His ways and principles — Understand how God operates and the principles that govern His dealings.
3. Study His works and His power— Understand God through the manifestations of His works and sovereign power.

2. The Meaning of "The Lord Reigneth"

The declaration "The Lord Reigneth" immediately directs our attention to God's sovereign power and His dominion.

There are two dimensions to this statement:

Dimension 1: A Statement of Fact (A Verdict)

"The Lord Reigneth" is a declaration of God's sovereign power. It is a statement of fact, affirming His authority and dominion.

Dimension 2: An Expression of God's Will and Desire (A Call and a Cry)

"The Lord Reigneth" also expresses God's desire for His Kingdom and government to find practical and experiential expression in our lives and in the world of men.

God desires that His values, life, culture, and wisdom become evident in the way we live and function.

3. Four Areas Where God Desires to Reign Experientially

God desires His reign to be established and expressed in four major areas:

1. Our Hearts — Salvation and Surrender

Scripture: Proverbs 23:26

God desires to reign in our hearts through salvation and complete surrender to Him.

2. Our Minds — Transformation

Scripture: Philippians 2:5

God desires to reign in our minds through transformation, bringing our thoughts and understanding into alignment with the mind of Christ.

3. Our Bodies — Temples of God

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

God desires to reign in our bodies, recognizing that our bodies are His temples and must be yielded to Him.

4. Our Institutions and Environments

God desires His reign to find expression in our institutions and environments, including:

- Families
- Businesses
- Schools
- Nations
- Other institutions and spheres of influence

4. What Happens When "The Lord Reigneth" Becomes a Reality?

When the reign of God becomes an experiential reality in our lives, the following manifestations become evident:

1. We Become Christlike in Life and Character

Our lives begin to reflect the character and nature of Christ.

This is demonstrated through the outworking of the life of God within us, particularly through the fruit of the Spirit.

2. We Function at a Superior Dimension of Wisdom and Intelligence

Scriptures: Job 32:8; Isaiah 11:3

When God reigns in our lives, we gain access to superior dimensions of wisdom and intelligence.

3. We Command Tremendous Levels of Grace and Spiritual Power

When God's reign becomes a reality, believers can operate in tremendous levels of grace and spiritual power.

Power is the capacity to influence outcomes.

Believers are people of power.

4. We Attract and Manifest Limitless Possibilities of the Kingdom

Scripture: Song of Solomon 1:3

The reign of God brings us into the experience of the limitless possibilities of His Kingdom, including:

- Favour
- Speed
- Influence

5. We Enjoy Supernatural Protection and Preservation

Scriptures: 2 Timothy 1:12; Psalm 23; Jude 1:9

When God reigns in our lives, we enjoy supernatural protection and preservation from:

- Demonic attacks
- The activities of wicked men

6. We Become Signs and Wonders and a Praise to the Nations

Scriptures: Isaiah 60:15; Galatians 1:24; 2 Corinthians 3:2

When the reign of God finds expression in our lives, we become signs and wonders and a praise to the nations.

Our lives become visible testimonies of God's glory and power.

5. Prophetic Words and Declarations

1. It Will Still Come to Pass

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 4:18; Genesis 21:6

Prophetic Declaration: It will still come to pass.

2. Never Lose Your Joy

Scripture: Habakkuk 3:18

Joy is more than an emotion. It is:

- A strategy
- An atmosphere
- An environment

Prophetic Declaration: Never lose your joy.

3. There Shall Be No Loss

Prophetic Declaration: There shall be no loss.

4. Come Up Hither

Scripture: Revelation 4:1

Prophetic Declaration: Come up hither.

5. God Is Involved; Therefore, It Will Not Fail

Scriptures: Psalm 102:13; Romans 8:28

Nothing fails when God is involved.

Prophetic Declaration: God is involved; therefore, it will not fail.

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, sacrifices, guidance, and prayers continue to shape lives and strengthen families.

Thank you for every lesson taught, every prayer offered, every sacrifice made, and every moment spent investing in the next generation.

May God bless and strengthen all fathers as they continue to lead with wisdom, integrity, and love.
