Home golf sims are so easy to get into now most golfers should be able to benefit from some level of home sim setup. We'll explore all aspects of setting up and running your own home golf simulator. From running $500 launch monitors and a basic net to projector-based setups, we'll explore the budget end of the spectrum with a focus on DIY. Sharing my thoughts here on setups I've used and tried and trying to convince everyone they need a garage sim of their own.

Claude code helped me build a launch monitor in one day. That will be the headline for my full video around the latest short i released (www.youtube.com/shorts/binK2f...).
Not clickbait either really. I had a working prototype from the first prompt to claude to testing this in my garage. Given, I'm good with electronics, 3d modeling, have a 3d printer and a MicroCenter nearby to buy Raspberry Pi chips.
But now I've been working on it for over a month, because the possibilities seem endless when you pair AI coding agents with some physical hardware. I wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to build a thoughtful, feature-rich golf system today.
Foresight announcing ridiculous pricing changes. Rapsodo adding in more subscription fees. I get subscriptions, they fund continual improvements to great vendor software, but when AI accelerates what you can deliver, I don't expect to pay more for my subscription, i expect to GET more for what I'm already paying you.
anyway, I built this out of frustrations I was having with my Omni, and out of curiosity as a tinkerer and maker and it's been so much fun, will share several videos.
