we’ve all stumbled across a vent/song with deep meaning on YouTube Shorts, and thus it leads to the “you’re not alone, [insert suicide hotline number] we’re always available 24/7”, the whole thing, yknow. people go through difficult times in their life.
it NEVER FAILS TO PISS ME OFF when people in the comment section are like…
“If you got the warning 👇” (why are we begging for likes on a suicide warning? 😀)
“i’m not alone? that’s a great thing to hear at 3AM alone in my room.”
“I’m not alone? [insert how it creeps them out]”
i may just be on max sensitivity (or whatever people call it now), but does anyone else just feel like it kind of invalidates or dismisses the meaning behind the warning? i feel like we’d rather have some sort of reminder that we are loved and >>not alone<< as compared to YouTube showing potentially triggering content to those struggling with their thoughts or trying to recover from previously acting on them
it’s an overused, unfunny, and annoying joke and i overall just heavily dislike them

as a service dog owner/handler, whenever some parent lets their kid recklessly roam up and pets my dog, (even after i give a warning to NOT pet my service animal) i just start returning the pets but to the child
parent runs over like “don’t touch my kid!!! wah!!” and i’ll be like “but it’s so cute (not) why can’t i pet it?!?”
“It’s disrespectful and rude!!”
tell me moreee i definitely don’t have a big red sign on my dog’s harness telling you not to touch it and respect both me and the dogs spaceeeeeuhhh omggggg
adding onto this, if the parent deliberately sends the kid over to pet her for ‘a break/to calm down’ (has happened more than i’d like), i kinda scream/cry “DONT TOUCH ME!! AAAh! WAAAh!” and they scatter from the fear of public humiliation
