Is grounding yourself to the earth a real thing?

Earthing or grounding, the practice of walking barefoot on soil, grass, or sand to physically connect the human body to the Earth's surface electrical charge, is a real and actively studied phenomenon in biophysics, though its health claims remain a subject of clinical debate.
