If you ask a customer what they need help with, use the answer in your next email.
For a pet supplement client, our team created a quiz with customized results, then connected it to a series of emails that followed up on those same results.
That connection is the part worth borrowing.
You don't have to start with a whole quiz. Add one useful question to your inquiry form: “What are you trying to solve?”
Then give the person a first response that addresses what they selected. Explain the relevant service, answer a common question about it, or help them understand their next step.
Look at your own forms today. Are you collecting answers that never change what you send?
Start with one of those answers and make the follow-up useful.

Before you spend more money sending people to your website, try buying something from it on your phone.
Do the product photos appear right away? Does the page jump while you're trying to tap a button? Can you change the size or color without waiting?
Those were real problems on a clothing brand's store.
After work to improve loading, page stability, and product selection, the store reported a 3% increase in conversion rate over the following 90 days compared with the previous period.
Try your own site on mobile data. Pick a product, choose an option, and go through to checkout. Write down every place you hesitate or have to wait.
Give your web person that list. It tells them what is getting in a shopper's way.

A customer who buys from you every Christmas isn't necessarily a lost customer in July.
They might just be a Christmas customer.
An online gift retailer found that buying schedules mattered. Some customers bought again soon after an order. Others came back around Christmas or the anniversary of their first purchase.
The company adjusted who received its campaigns. In June 2025, its first full month using the new customer groups, email revenue per recipient rose 42% from the previous month.
Try this with your own order history: separate frequent buyers from people who return for a particular season or occasion.
Plan the follow-up around when each group is likely to need you again.
Before sending another “We miss you” email, check whether that customer is actually overdue.

Before you give everyone a discount, look at the people who almost bought.
For one client, our Amazon team ran a 10% offer for shoppers who had added products to their cart but hadn't completed a purchase.
That promotion recorded $6,758 in sales.
The useful part is who received the offer: people who had already shown interest in buying.
You can apply that thinking to your next promotion. Decide who needs a reason to come back before deciding how much to take off.
Someone who abandoned a cart needs a different message from someone hearing about your business for the first time.
And check what the discount leaves you after product costs and fees. More orders only help if the offer still makes business sense.

Would you be happy with fewer leads?
You might be if more of them actually booked an appointment.
In one June week, one of our showroom clients went from 4 showroom bookings to 7, even though the number of leads went down.
If we'd only looked at the lead count, we would have missed the improvement.
When you review your advertising, follow the people past the form:
How many booked? How many showed up? How many bought?
Keep those numbers next to your cost per lead. A campaign that fills your inbox and a campaign that fills your appointment book can look very different.
Before asking for more leads, find out what happened to the ones you already paid for.

Some people will read your advice but never watch your videos.
At AGM, we created a website called Pregúntale a Frank, where Frank Suárez’s videos are transcribed and turned into individual blog articles.
They have the entire episode there, but then we turn it into an article.
You know that on an episode of you having a conversation, there's a lot of repeating yourself. There's a lot of things that you say that are run-on sentences. Grammatically, it's not going to work.
So you take the entire transcript of the one-hour episode and you feed it to ChatGPT and you say, turn this into a written article that looks like it was meant as an article written, not an actual podcast or a video form.
Do not change the reading level, or the voice, or the grammatical use of words in this video.
You got to recognize that there's a lot of people out there that consume a certain type of content. They're not out there watching videos. They don't have time for that. So if you don't go after them through a different channel, a different media, you're going to miss out getting them.

Don't make people scroll down to find out what you can solve for them.
A landing page is just one page with one purpose.
You can actually land people on a page that doesn't send them anywhere else, that communicates exactly what it is you're offering and exactly what it is that you want them to do.
When somebody lands on a page, you got to make sure that the first thing they see is that call to action or what is the thing that's in it for them. What's in it for them?

The number one focus of any marketing must be what the person will get for doing what you're asking them to do.
Again, you're not entitled. People have many options. They are interested in what's in it for them.
So I did this, right? This is a post that I made:
“Get free on demand access to my previous AI course. Just spend a few minutes telling me which areas of marketing you need help with.”
Notice something very important. I'm using a resource that I delivered a year ago.
In my world, only a small percentage of them bought the training a year ago. Many of them wanted to buy them, they couldn't afford it.
It serves two purposes. It reactivates them, brings them back into my world, and it helps them get value from me, generate goodwill with them.
You're tracking with that?
You got to think about the resources that you already have. And how do you use them to generate marketing for yourself?
