My Channel covers coarse fishing on rivers and stillwaters (predominantly rivers). Many of my videos are uploaded as a diary of my fishing trips and I love being able to share my passion for angling and appreciation for wildlife. Although I do show ideas and fishing tactics in my videos, none of them are meant to be a "how to" they are just my own experiences whilst out fishing and what I have learnt over the years. Can I just say a big thank you to all of those of you whom reached out regarding my father's death. Robert was cremated yesterday afternoon and prior to this I have had some time to come to terms with his passing which was also helped by many of you taking the time to reply to my community post below. The good news is that there will be a new video today, most likely around 5/6 pm

I am very sorry for not replying to any latest comments on my videos, my father Robert has passed away a few days ago and as you can imagine there has been a lot of emotion here and grieving. I apologize for my lack of replies to your comments, i just wanted to explain why that was. He had not been well for a long time with Lewy Body dementia and then recently struggled with a chest infection, we had been warned to expect the worst as he wasn't responding to anti biotics and refused food and drink before eventually passing away .Many good memories shared with an amazingly good father but over the years the dementia took the dad I knew and replaced him with someone I didn't know, you could almost say a stranger. I am holding on to the very best memories of us fishing together and thank him for bringing me into angling and being there for me. God this kills me typing this because I feel that I failed you dad and just hope you are out of pain and confusion now, but I'd give anything for you to still be here and the man you once were. He taught me a lot about life and people, I could never repay that nor the days where he stood by my side and picked me back up off the ground when I was disheartened with life. I remember when he taught me how to ride a bike when i was a nipper despite me coming off god knows how many times yet he remained patient. Sorry to go on but it is better to type this and put it out there because bottling it up is killing me.

Just a little post to say that I have been trying to keep my mental health on an even level and at the same time I have not forgotten about you guys or my channel and I'm currently editing new videos over the next few days to hopefully get some fishing content out. I am very sorry for the three or even four month break which I had, which despite the mental health side of things I find a bit unacceptable really but I had to have a little down time.
Hoping you're all having a good healthy start to 2026 and also catching a few fish.
