How long can you actually keep hazardous waste on-site before it becomes an RCRA compliance problem?
The answer isn't the same for every facility.
Under federal RCRA requirements, Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) generally have up to 90 days to accumulate hazardous waste on-site without a storage permit. Small Quantity Generators (SQGs) generally have up to 180 days, or up to 270 days when the waste must be transported 200 miles or more for off-site management.
