The Joy of Photography – a message for new photographers…
This morning, early, I walked out onto our balcony and saw this…the tree across the road.
I went back inside, collected my camera and took the picture…
And I just thought - ‘That’s a beautiful way to start the day…the changing colours of Autumn captured for posterity…
Then I picked up my camera again and looked at it – this one is an 0ld Olympus E3 which I bought second hand – it’s beautifully made and a joy to hold and use and then I realized something I have always known but never really crystalized the thought
There is far more to photography than just capturing images – it really does help you to appreciate life - perhaps just a truism but think about it…

Hi All - this is just for interest for those of you who still have slides - this image was scanned using a basic desk top scanner - 1st image - played around with some software (Photo Director and DxO) and arrived at the 2nd image which I think is just remarkable. Cheers, Roger

I have always enjoyed photography at the edges of the day - early mornings to see the light change as the sun makes an appearance and, of course, in the evenings to see the sun sign off with (if one is lucky) glorious colours.
