I tried something new today...

I had a mountain of scraps on my desk. And I was adding tickets to projects I've been working on for an upcoming craft show. It made me wonder if tickets would make a good snippet base.

Turns out, it worked perfectly and I'm pretty happy with these!

Returning to the Sea Glass Summer file folder folio (say that three times fast! 😆), today I’m back with embellished tags.

Tag #1- I added some chiffon trim along with a super fun turtle charm on a bulb pin. This one also includes stamped journaling lines and a fussy cut camera.

Tag #2 – I turned a ticket into a tuck spot and added a few more fussy cuts along with the word August.

Tag #3 - I added another stamp from the Sea Glass Summer stamps clipart kit, some crochet lace trim, a gold Doodlebug heart and two Pink Fresh Studios glitter drops in Aqua.

New tutorial video is up! ☀️🌴🌺 I turned ONE Dollar Tree file folder into a tri-fold folio using printed half pages and leftover papers and ephemera from my Sea Glass Summer kits. If you've got scraps piling up from past projects, this one's for you.

Another page complete in my cute journal!

I covered the back of the tag with some Amazon brown packaging paper and then added some lined paper on top with a little bit of lace.

Simple. Easy. It doesn't have to be complicated. 😊 And then I added a few pretty extras.

I'm making progress on this super cute journal!

Photos include the page I meant to film, but we had technical difficulties (or user error??? 🤦🏻‍♀️). I used my Layering Essentials: The Cottage for everything on that page.

For the envelope pocket page, I used a mix of scrapbooking stash, thrifted finds (the ribbon and envelope) and my digital Cottage kit and a doily I crocheted.

Life Update: My husband Michael and I were vendors at our first craft show this past weekend (for one of our other brands) and it took a ton of time and preparation to get everything ready.

But on Sunday, I was back to journaling. I made a simple one yesterday and filmed the quick process. I just uploaded it to Shorts but wanted to add a few photos too. I used a 3-hole pamphlet stitch to bind the journal and added an extra loop above the top hole so I could add the charm and bead dangle. I love the extra detail.

The paper I used for the cover coordinates well with my new Layering Essentials kit, The Cottage. I’ll be adding more interactive elements from that kit to this journal in the coming days.

Now that our first show is over, I’ll be getting back to a regular filming schedule.

I have a new video up today, and this one is a little different. 🌸

I’m introducing The Cottage, the first kit in my new Layering Essentials line for junk journals. These kits are meant to give you all those useful extra pieces: pockets, labels, word strips, fussy cuts, journaling cards, tabs, papers, and little bits you can mix into projects you already have. And not just a color family...a mood.

In the video, I walk through the full kit and then use the pieces to make a set of hidden paper clip embellishments.

Part 2 of my travel journal is posted!

This is my travel journal project made from real road trip memorabilia. In this video, it starts to feel like a real keepsake book. I’m adding pattern paper, pockets, flips, envelopes, vellum, journaling spots, and places for photos and saved paper pieces from the trip.

If you save maps, brochures, hotel sleeves, and all the random paper from vacations, this one is full of ideas for how to actually use them.
