I was bored so I wrote this

There was a time you made me feel free
I’d hold you close and feel the deepest warmth
But your warmth began to burn
And instead you began to hold me
But you held me tight
Too tight
Too close
Too long
These walls I once thought were safe
Now simply close me in
With no room to breathe
I have nowhere to flee
I hate to cut you loose
A part of me longs to stay
But I know that if I do
I will never fly away
I’ll hold you one last time
And give you one last glance
And I’ll regret giving you
One last chance
