Hey everyone! A new update is available for Affinity by Canva and it is a BIG one!

Aside from some fixes and updates to existing tools, there are brand new tools including the much awaited and requested BLEND TOOL! I've had the chance to play around with it in the beta version and it's awesome! I'll be putting a full tutorial out this week.

There are tons of other updates, like new warp presets, full scripting and more. You can find the release notes here: www.affinity.studio/help/release-notes/

When you're in the app, if you don't already see a prompt to update your app, go to the Affinity menu at the top and choose Check for Updates then go through the prompts to update the app.

In addition to the tutorial on the blend tool, I'll be releasing several other tutorials on new features over the next few weeks, which will be added to my Affinity by Canva playlist, so stay tuned! In the meantime, as always, HAPPY CREATING!

I have had several people ask me about the color palette I use in many of my tutorials, specifically where I got it. It's one I created for my Textured Vector Florals in Affinity Designer class and I wanted to share it here with you as well!

You can find a link to the palette below, as well as to the class it's from. Please feel free to use this in your projects, whether they're personal or commercial. I only ask that you don't share or sell the palette as your own.

This can be uploaded in to both the desktop and iPad apps.

Hi everyone!

I’d love your feedback as I plan content for the next few months.

If you’ve been following the digital planner series in Publisher for iPad V2, you’ve probably noticed the pause. Some of that was planned, some… life happened (illness, travel, family). For those waiting on new videos, I truly appreciate your patience.

As a solo creator handling everything from scripting to publishing, I need to be strategic with my time. Here’s the crossroads I'm at:

Continuing the series in Publisher for iPad V2 means it will become outdated as soon as the new unified Affinity iPad app launches. Since the new version brings a completely new interface—and better workflows for creating planners—I’m leaning toward rebuilding the entire series in the new app instead.

That’s where you come in.

I want to gauge how many of you plan to move to the new Affinity iPad app once it’s released. If most of you are upgrading, it makes sense for me to wait and create the series in V3. I’ll still publish desktop tutorials in the meantime, including planner content, but iPad videos would resume after the update.

The first three videos in my series on the brand new Affinity app are live! These three will get you acquainted with the app, running through new document setup, and overview of the user interface and, my new favorite feature, studios!
