I’m Frank. Retired engineer, and I’ve been rescuing cats for over 40 years: kittens, ferals, shy ones, old ones, and a few who broke my heart.

Your cat has been leaving you clues the whole time. Here I show you where to look: what their sounds, habits, and quirks really mean, how to earn their trust, and simple ways to make life better for both of you.

⚠️ I’m not a vet. If something changes suddenly, call yours.

For years I’d sit across the room from a nervous cat and slowly close my eyes at them. My wife used to laugh at me for it.

Then in 2020, researchers at the University of Sussex actually tested it. Cats were more likely to blink back at owners who blinked slowly at them, and more likely to walk up to a stranger who did it.

I don’t trust a number I can’t check, so I was glad someone checked this one.

Try it tonight: look at your cat, narrow your eyes, close them slowly, then look away. Then wait.

Did your cat blink back? Tell me their name below 🐾

🐾 One of these tastes doesn’t exist for your cat. Which one?

Here’s something it took me years to notice. 🐾

Grown cats almost never meow at each other. They hiss, growl, chirp and purr between themselves, but the meow is mostly a kitten’s sound, used to call their mother.

Then they come to live with us, and they bring it back. For us.

So that meow at the kitchen door is a word your cat kept just for you.

Tell me below: what’s your cat’s name, and which meow would you recognize anywhere? 🐾
