Ok but in all seriousness, todays Direct was... well it was better than the June Direct imo, but it was certainly nothing special. Don't get me wrong, Kirby, Metroid, Age of Calamity Definitive Edition, Switch Sports Resort, MK World DLC, all very cool to see, but then the rest was just flooded with third party announcements, none of which were bad, in fact I'm excited to see many of them come to Switch 2, but why Nintendo? You literally created Partner Showcases for this reason, so why are the general Directs just becoming a third party show, with first party announcements sprinkled in? I don't know about you, but I feel like first party Nintendo games should be the main focus of NINTENDO Directs, and I'm frankly a little bit concerned for the future of Directs as of now. If you did enjoy this Direct, however, all power to ya! I definitely liked parts of it, my main concern is just that future Nintendo Directs will become mostly third party, with first party games every now and then, like the last two have been. I am very excited for the first party games we did get announced though, along with the Ocarina of Time remake!
So, what did we think of the Zelda 40th Direct? Tbh I think the OoT remake looks incredible, both from a gameplay and visual standpoint. The only thing I find funny with the visual upgrades is that at first glance it kinda looks like those videos where someone takes an old game and runs it through Unreal Engine so it ends up looking way too crisp, but overall the visuals look great I think. We're also getting two new amiibo, along with a Special Edition Switch 2 console and Pro Controller, which I think all look amazing, they especially cooked on the Switch 2 design. Overall, thought the Direct was pretty good, OoT remake is already on pre-order, and now all we can do is wait to see what Nintendo's cooking for tomorrow, let's hope it's something delicious.

Just replayed Cuphead, might be a top 5 game OAT. Genuinely so much fun, I beat it in just about two days and still have so much left to do. Definitely gonna check out the DLC, something I neglected to do on my first playthrough despite having gotten 100 percent lol. If you haven’t played Cuphead, give it a try it’s so good!
Just 100 percented Super Mario Sunshine for the very first time! Pretty fun game, but it’s definitely a more acquired taste compared to the other 3D Mario’s. Generally, I found it enjoyable to play, but I don’t think I’ll have as much of a desire to return to it later on, we’ll see though! Anyways, I’m thinking a video on this game is the move- would be fitting after just having made a Mario 64 vid (almost the most popular long form vid on the channel now btw- thank you all so much!), but it’ll be a while before that comes out, still stay tuned though! Anyways, that’s all, hope yall have been having a good Summer, Mario Sunshine is a pretty fitting game for this time of a year, so maybe give it a play lol. See ya later!
