Everyone talks about freedom like it's the end of pressure.

It isn't. It's the same weight with your name written on it.

That's why quitting the thing you hated didn't feel like relief. When someone else runs your day, a bad day belongs to them. When you run it, a bad day is just you. Most people can't sit with that for very long, so they quietly build something new to answer to. New deadlines. New apps. A calendar packed tight enough that the thought never gets a chance to land.

That's not weak. You spent twenty years being told when to sit, when to eat, when to speak. Nobody ever taught you how to carry your own weight.

Freedom doesn't make it lighter. It just stops feeling wrong.
