WHO recommendations on (2015):
"Interventions to promote the involvement of men during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth are recommended to facilitate and support improved self-care of women, improved home care practices for women and newborns, improved use of skilled care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period for women and newborns, and increase the timely use of facility care for obstetric and newborn complications."
WHO recommendations on (2016):
Families should be informed.
All mothers should be able to have birth partners.
Standards for improving quality of maternal and newborn care in health facilities.
Composition: Norethisterone 5 mg – एक synthetic progestogen (progesterone analogue)।
Mechanism of Action: यह endometrium को stabilize करता है, estrogen के प्रभाव को balance करता है और abnormal uterine bleeding को नियंत्रित करने में मदद करता है। Ovulation suppression भी कर सकता है (dose-dependent)।
Common Uses: • Irregular periods • Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) • Menorrhagia (heavy bleeding) • Endometriosis • Period postponement (short-term medical use)
Dose: डोज indication पर निर्भर करती है (अक्सर 5–10 mg/day cyclic regimen में)। हमेशा gynecologist की सलाह से लें।
Important Precautions: • Pregnancy में contraindicated • Long-term use में weight gain, mood changes, breast tenderness हो सकते हैं • Unexplained vaginal bleeding में पहले evaluation जरूरी
Self-medication से बचें — hormonal therapy हमेशा medical supervision में ही लें
