Celebrating U2 Turning 50 on 25 September 2026, part 6. Next, we return to home base -- Washington, DC, for a moving rendition of "One Tree Hill" from the 2017 Joshua Tree Tour. Songs such as this stick to your soul, and The Wanderer Family USA prays "Silencio" (released tomorrow, 24 September) and the new album -- "Carnaval de Luz" -- will be reminders of this promised celebration: "I'll see you again as the stars fall from the sky and the moon has turned red over One Tree Hill!" Celebrating U2 Turning 50 on 25 September 2026, part 5. Next, we visit Australia for "Where the Streets Have No Name" in Brisbane -- the farthest we have traveled to catch the band in action. And we only stayed 5 nights after setting up a sitter for the concert for 5-year-old Liam who did not sleep on the airplane until the last hour of our 25-hour jaunt. No jet lag for him -- not! People ask us, "Was it worth it?" Absolutely! We stayed on the Gold Coast, held a koala, petted/fed a kangaroo, enjoyed great wine, and saw the best band on the planet with 45,000 of our closest friends. Get some!

Rumors are the world tour will start in South America, and The Wanderer Family USA hopes to attend one of those gigs and share the experience with you. Our entire holiday in Hungary was very chill -- kind of ironically, given the reverberating thunder of F1. Staying at the Hotel Golden Palace in Göd (hotelgoldenpalace.hu/) was a no-brainer! Great rates, big rooms, no F1 race-day traffic, and free breakfast and dinner. Just Book It!
One of coolest parts of the trip was when we visited the amazingly majestic @vilagiwinery7155 in Slovakia (50 minutes from Göd). The 2023 Pinot Noir we brought home was an extension of that majesty. If you can find it, Just Drink It! If not, Slovakia is calling. Just Book It!
Besides our photo at the F1 finish line (check out the Short here: www.youtube.com/shorts/uFdUnJ...), we'll probably have space for one of these two photos in our Christmas card. Which one do you like best?
