Real Body Cams

❤️ We need your help. A personal message from the Real Body Cams team.

We never imagined we’d have to make a post like this, but we believe you deserve to know what’s happening behind the scenes.

A few days ago, Real Body Cams was suspended from the YouTube Partner Program for what YouTube calls “reused content.” This means our channel can no longer earn advertising revenue, despite reaching over 400,000+ subscribers and spending years building this community.

We want to explain why this has been so devastating for us.

Real Body Cams isn’t run by one person simply reuploading police footage. We’re a small, independent news and media team made up of real people who work incredibly hard on every video you watch.

Behind each upload are hours of research, public-records requests, communication with police departments, reviewing arrest reports and evidence, carefully selecting footage, editing, fact-checking, redacting sensitive information, and putting together stories for you.

We obtain our footage directly through official channels. We invest our own money and countless hours into producing these videos.

This channel isn’t just a hobby for us. It’s our full-time work, and it’s how we support the people who make these videos possible.

We’ve *appealed* YouTube’s decision and submitted evidence explaining our production process. We’re hoping the review team will recognize the work that goes into our content and give us a fair opportunity to resolve this.

We’re not asking anyone to harass YouTube or send hateful messages. We know their teams have a difficult job, and we respect that.

But today, we’re asking our community for a little help. ❤️

If you’ve enjoyed our videos, learned something from our coverage, or simply believe independent creators deserve a fair review, please consider sharing our appeal post on X (Twitter).

A repost, a like, or a respectful message of support would mean the world to us. We hope it helps bring our situation to the attention of @TeamYouTube.

We’ve spent years building Real Body Cams, and the thought of losing what we’ve worked so hard for is genuinely heartbreaking.

To the more than 400,000 people who have supported us, watched our videos, and helped us grow: thank you.

We’re a small team, but you’ve given us a community bigger than we ever dreamed possible.

With gratitude,

The Real Body Cams Team ❤️

Real Body Cams

We review a lot of bodycam footage before deciding what becomes a full episode.

Some cases are dramatic, but not meaningful. Others are quieter but reveal important aspects of policing, decision-making, accountability, and how quickly ordinary situations can escalate.

What do you think makes a bodycam case worth covering?

Vote below and comment if there’s something you think we should focus on more.
