Meet Apeiron, Virgin Galactic’s first next-generation Delta-class spaceship, designed to take commercial space tourism to the next level!
Apeiron has arrived at Spaceport America in New Mexico after its first flight beneath the wings of the carrier aircraft Eve. Designed to carry six passengers, this next-generation spacecraft aims to make space tourism more frequent, with a target of flying twice a week and completing more than 500 missions over its operational lifetime.
What's next? Virgin Galactic will complete software validation and flight testing before beginning commercial spaceflights, currently expected in early Q2 2027. A second Delta-class spaceship is also in development.
