Florida Watchmen is created by three Florida men, who have a heart for Jesus and desire for the Truth, beginning with Scripture and throughout history, and current events. Our biggest concern is for the abolition of human abortion. However, we understand that other issues still face us, in which we wish to share.
Our title was taken out of Ezekiel 33:6 "'...But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’"

When I first heard that Nicki Minaj was sharing the platform with Turning Point USA alongside Erika Kirk, I was immediately skeptical, y'all.
To be honest, it felt like yet another example of conservative spaces slowly watering down Christian conviction. From accepting homosexuality (at least the “monogamous” version...whatever that means), to platforming abortion-adjacent voices, even giving a porn star a microphone, I felt like I’d had enough.
This is a woman who, for decades, has helped normalize sexual immorality in pop culture. Lyrics like “I never f***** Wayne, I never f***** Drake” or “He got that super bass, boom, badoom, boom” didn’t just exist in a vacuum; they shaped minds, including children.
So hearing her now talk about being baptized at 12, enjoying worship, loving church, and speaking against Christian persecution in Nigeria (because her pastor is Nigerian) feels… perplexing.
She says she likes going to church to hear the Word. Yet Scripture also says to flee from sexual immorality and asks, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means.” That tension matters.
And just when I’m tempted to throw my hands up, I’m reminded of the One who actually holds history together, Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
Why should it shock us that God can use broken vessels to speak truth without endorsing their life or art? Scripture is clear: God uses vessels of mercy and vessels of wrath for His purposes. I don’t know where Nicki Minaj truly stands with the Lord, but I do know we’re commanded to judge a tree by its fruit, not by what’s said on a conservative stage.
That said, I do admire this: she is using her massive platform to speak against the persecution of Christians in other nations, something faithful believers have cried out about for years. Ironically, when God uses someone unexpected to shine light on an issue we care deeply about, we’re often quicker to critique the messenger than confront the truth being spoken.
And let’s be honest about influence. Nicki Minaj has one of the largest platforms in modern music, especially as a Black female artist. She didn’t stumble into that. It took decades of work: long tours, relentless writing, performances, media, criticism, and endurance. Disagree with her worldview all you want, God put her where she is.
If we want influence, we can’t just complain about who has it. We have to outwork, outbuild, and outlast...for decades...to earn platforms that can shape culture without compromise.
There are areas where I agree with her: speaking against pandemic coercion, opposing forced medical mandates, and pushing back on radical gender ideology targeting children. I’m grateful she’s willing to say what many are afraid to.
At the end of the day, this much is certain: God is still on His throne.
He raises up kings and brings them low. He turns hearts like streams of water. Nebuchadnezzar praised the Lord after being humbled. Pilate’s wife warned him that Jesus was righteous. God called Cyrus, a pagan king, His anointed to free His people. If God can use rulers and empires, He can certainly use celebrities.
So here’s where I land:
Christians shouldn’t anoint celebrities prematurely, but neither should we deny God’s sovereignty when He uses unlikely people to expose truth.
Our real task is bigger than reacting. We must raise godly generations who will enter public arenas with conviction, build real businesses, earn real credibility, fund righteous leaders, and create platforms that speak truth without compromise.
You might be one of them...but that requires leaving comfort, engaging culture, and refusing to fear the masses.
So I’ll ask plainly:
What do you think about Nicki Minaj sharing the platform with Erika Kirk at TPUSA?
Are you for it or against it and more importantly, why biblically?
Back it up with Scripture. Let’s talk, y'all.
