A meeting was held under the leadership of Shri Vikas Pansare (IAS), Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, with Ashutosh Dhasmana, Founder of Indian Ecovillage Network (IEN), to discuss the potential of agro-tourism and caravan tourism in promoting rural destinations, regenerative farms, local livelihoods and immersive cultural experiences across Maharashtra.
With its growing network of ecovillages, regenerative farms and community-led initiatives across India, Indian Ecovillage Network brings valuable on-ground experience in connecting travellers with rural communities and sustainable living spaces.
The discussion explored opportunities to create new tourism experiences, empower rural communities and strengthen local economies, paving the way for more inclusive and sustainable tourism development across Maharashtra.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Maharashtra Tourism Department and Stay Vista Pvt. Ltd. to give tourist accommodation in Maharashtra wider digital visibility offer travellers more places to stay and encourage skill development among homestay operators. The agreement was signed at the Directorate of Tourism office in Mumbai by Shri Vikas Pansare IAS, Director of Tourism and Shri Varun Joshi, Associate General Manager of Stay Vista Pvt. Ltd. Shri Santosh Jadhav, Joint Director of the Directorate of Tourism, was present on the occasion.
Under this agreement, tourist accommodations registered on the Maharashtra Tourism Department's MahaAtithi website will get publicity and wider visibility on Stay Vista's digital platform. In addition a skill development programme will be conducted in three stages, namely orientation, hands-on training and certification, for 1,000 rural homestay operators in select districts of the state.

या करारांतर्गत महाराष्ट्र पर्यटन विभागाच्या 'महाअतिथी' (MahaAtithi) संकेत स्थळावर नोंदणीकृत पर्यटन निवास सुविधांना स्टे विस्टाच्या डिजिटल प्लॅटफॉर्मवर प्रसिद्धी व व्यापक दृश्यमानता मिळणार आहे. तसेच राज्यातील निवडक जिल्ह्यांमधील १,००० ग्रामीण होमस्टे चालकांसाठी अभिमुखीकरण, प्रत्यक्ष प्रशिक्षण आणि प्रमाणपत्र अशा तीन टप्प्यांत कौशल्य विकास कार्यक्रम राबविण्यात येणार आहे.

Strengthening Maharashtra’s tourism ecosystem through skill development, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
Under the leadership of Shri. Vikas Pansare (IAS) Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Directorate of Tourism, Sahyadri Rural Development Foundation (Sahyadri Farms) and Tata STRIVE to promote tourism and hospitality skill development, agro-tourism, rural tourism and entrepreneurship across the state.
The collaboration will focus on empowering farmers, rural youth and women, developing model tourism clusters, and creating new livelihood opportunities, while also supporting tourism and hospitality skilling initiatives for the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2027.
A significant step towards building a skilled workforce and fostering inclusive, sustainable tourism in Maharashtra.
कौशल्य विकास, उद्योजकता आणि शाश्वत रोजगाराच्या संधी निर्माण करून महाराष्ट्राच्या पर्यटन क्षेत्राला अधिक बळकटी देण्याच्या दिशेने महत्त्वपूर्ण पाऊल!

या कराराच्या माध्यमातून राज्यातील पर्यटन आणि हॉस्पिटॅलिटी क्षेत्रातील कौशल्य विकास, कृषी पर्यटन, ग्रामीण पर्यटन तसेच पर्यटनविषयक उद्योजकतेला चालना देण्यात येणार आहे.
शेतकरी, ग्रामीण युवक आणि महिलांना सक्षम करणे, आदर्श पर्यटन क्लस्टर्स विकसित करणे, रोजगार व स्वयंरोजगाराच्या नव्या संधी उपलब्ध करून देणे, तसेच नाशिक–त्र्यंबकेश्वर सिंहस्थ कुंभमेळा २०२७ साठी आवश्यक कुशल मनुष्यबळ तयार करणे, यावर या उपक्रमांतर्गत विशेष भर दिला जाणार आहे.
महाराष्ट्रातील ग्रामीण भागाच्या आर्थिक विकासाला हातभार लावत पर्यटन क्षेत्रात कौशल्य, रोजगार आणि उद्योजकतेच्या नव्या संधी निर्माण करण्याच्या दृष्टीने हा सामंजस्य करार महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरणार आहे.

Vikas Pansare (IAS) Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Directorate of Tourism, Sahyadri Rural Development Foundation (Sahyadri Farms) and Tata STRIVE to promote tourism and hospitality skill development, agro-tourism, rural tourism and entrepreneurship across the state.
The collaboration will focus on empowering farmers, rural youth and women, developing model tourism clusters, and creating new livelihood opportunities, while also supporting tourism and hospitality skilling initiatives for the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2027.
A significant step towards building a skilled workforce and fostering inclusive, sustainable tourism in Maharashtra.
कौशल्य विकास, उद्योजकता आणि शाश्वत रोजगाराच्या संधी निर्माण करून महाराष्ट्राच्या पर्यटन क्षेत्राला अधिक बळकटी देण्याच्या दिशेने महत्त्वपूर्ण पाऊल!
श्री. विकास पानसरे (भा.प्र.से.), संचालक, पर्यटन संचालनालय, महाराष्ट्र शासन यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली पर्यटन संचालनालय, सह्याद्री रूरल डेव्हलपमेंट फाउंडेशन (सह्याद्री फार्म्स) आणि टाटा स्ट्राइव्ह यांच्यात सामंजस्य करार (MoU) करण्यात आला.
या कराराच्या माध्यमातून राज्यातील पर्यटन आणि हॉस्पिटॅलिटी क्षेत्रातील कौशल्य विकास, कृषी पर्यटन, ग्रामीण पर्यटन तसेच पर्यटनविषयक उद्योजकतेला चालना देण्यात येणार आहे.
शेतकरी, ग्रामीण युवक आणि महिलांना सक्षम करणे, आदर्श पर्यटन क्लस्टर्स विकसित करणे, रोजगार व स्वयंरोजगाराच्या नव्या संधी उपलब्ध करून देणे, तसेच नाशिक–त्र्यंबकेश्वर सिंहस्थ कुंभमेळा २०२७ साठी आवश्यक कुशल मनुष्यबळ तयार करणे, यावर या उपक्रमांतर्गत विशेष भर दिला जाणार आहे.
महाराष्ट्रातील ग्रामीण भागाच्या आर्थिक विकासाला हातभार लावत पर्यटन क्षेत्रात कौशल्य, रोजगार आणि उद्योजकतेच्या नव्या संधी निर्माण करण्याच्या दृष्टीने हा सामंजस्य करार महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरणार आहे.
