Hi friends, thank you for your enthusiastic support over these last 24 hours. Yes, the rumors are true, I did indeed wake up to a message from a (confirmed) Century Games employee stating they might involve their legal team if I do not remove yesterday’s video by 2 UTC.

I shared this message with the other co-authoring creators to alert them to their individual risk, and it appears that this resulted in the message proliferating throughout the Kingshot community. Therefore, it is appropriate that I prepare this statement in the hopes of still turning this moment into something constructive.

My intent was for the message of the video to be intentionally positive in tone and aspirational about all the good that Century Games and its creators could do in tandem by conforming to an industry-standard mode of collaboration. I framed this narrative in the context of a business case so it would resonate with the right decision-makers.

I disagree with Century’s assertion that the “video has negative impact on kingshot.” And judging by your numerous comments in the video, it appears the community disagrees as well. Still, I intend to comply with Century’s request: “if you don't remove that video before Sep 15 2,UTC. we might seek legal team's help to do it.”

The fact of the matter is that there is a significant asymmetry in our resourcing to litigate. And successful legal action against my work would negatively impact the community. Among the comments I received these last 24 hours were many of you sharing how impactful my guides and tools have been in your Kingshot journeys. It was heartwarming.

Given that legal action could result in their removal as well, I have decided to comply with the request and will remove the video shortly before the 2 UTC deadline in the interests of maintaining these community resources.

I also make this decision in good faith for the hope of meaningful collaboration between Century Games and its creators, even if I have disqualified myself from that future. The last thing I want is to poison the well for other well-intentioned and passionate creators, especially knowing the struggles they are facing.

For now, I need some time to re-assess my own next steps on my content creation journey. No matter what that looks like, in Kingshot or otherwise, I want to thank you all for your support over these last 16 months. Your continued encouragement, gratitude, and in many cases friendship, inspired me to continue my work. For that, I am extremely grateful.

🦥Looking to procrastinate while at work? KvK 12 results (and updated rankings) have been up on Optimizer website since Monday: kingshotoptimizer.com/kvk-rankings/leaderboard This weeks livestream was also full of excitement (both highs and lows), including:
- hitting 30,000k subscribers live during the stream!
- realizing my mic was muted for about an hour of the stream so no one heard me celebrate it 🤣😭
- streamers who couldn't join due to power outages, overheating phones, etc.
- surprise streamers who took their place, including #4 globally-ranked Furion who let us watch him hunt cities near the end of the stream.
