This channel isn't about gear for the sake of gear. It's about what cameras teach you about seeing the world differently. The jobs, the creative breakthroughs, the burnout, the moments that make you remember why you picked up a camera in the first place.

Shots these just on the XM-5 on the streets for the marathon, I was playing with wider feels while also with the 15-45 kit lens and switching in the 70-300
I’ve been working on a slightly cleaner, film-inspired grade lately too — keeping things sharp and detailed, but with softer highlights, rich colour and just a touch of grain.
Not bad for a camera that fits in the palm of your hand 👀

The RED Raptor XE is finally starting to feel like a proper handheld camera!
I’ve been using the Bright Tangerine Kasbah system with my Kinefinity EVF, and I’m seriously impressed by how solid and well thought out the whole setup feels.
It balances the Raptor nicely, keeps everything secure and makes switching between tripod and handheld work much quicker on set.
Still experimenting with the perfect configuration, but this has already been out on a few projects and performed brilliantly.
Also still loving the Nisi Athena’s

A little BTS from a recent commercial shoot in London.
I’ve been using the @aputurelighting STORM 400x quite a bit lately, and it’s becoming a really useful light for location work. Compact enough to move around quickly, but still with enough output and control to shape a scene properly.
It’s always interesting seeing how much of a finished commercial comes down to relatively simple lighting choices behind the scenes.

Picked up this lovely little Olympus AF-1 for some on the move stills.
I love bts when I’m on my jobs but sometimes I take so many and they live on my computer drives and I feel real photos make memories feel more real.
I don’t think you can beat film photography.
What’s your thoughts?

Shot entirely on the tiny Fujifilm X-M5 with the 70-300mm. Honestly, this little camera continues to surprise me. Fast action, harsh summer light and plenty of colour to play with.

Four years later, I picked up the Fujifilm X-E4 again.
I mean honestly, i've never really put it down..
But i've been enjoying more photography again and it reminded me why I loved this little camera in the first place.
This isn't really a review. It's more about what happens when you strip photography back, carry something small and simple, and just go out looking for things to photograph.
I've been trying to make my YouTube videos a little more personal lately, focusing less on specs and gear reviews and more on the actual process of making images.
This one is probably the closest I've got to where I want the channel to go.

Nobody seems to care about these posts, but anyway ill crash on..
While lately everyone seems to be circle jerking over the Sony FX5 i have been out doing some actual work.
Here are some lovely BTS shot by my good buddy, while filming a little campaign for the lovely brand Ffern, spending a day in the countryside creating a lovely doc style piece now available on their instagram.

Are you on the pre order?
Seems every man and his dog is making reviews on this thing and Sony are pushing hard!
But for me cameras have almost reached a point where image doesn’t make a difference, they are all good!
But maybe the little nuances are what you want to change in the older models?
