I found Green Castle Great House — and this was NOT an easy place to reach. The journey took me far into the landscape, and when I finally came face-to-face with the ruins, I realized just how large, mysterious and eerie this place really is.

But the ruins are only part of the story. Green Castle holds stories, legends and unanswered questions — including connections to people and events that have left me wondering what really happened here. The deeper I went, the more questions I came away with.

In my last vlog, I took on some of the roughest and most unforgiving roads in the old parish of Saint David, exploring a part of Jamaica that doesn’t see much traffic.
But by the end of that journey, my adventure came to an unexpected halt when my car broke down between Albion and Landewey in St. Thomas because of an alternator problem.
Thankfully, a good Samaritan came to my rescue and helped get the car to safety. I thought the worst was finally behind me.
But the very next day, we returned to move the car, and what should have been a simple task quickly turned into something neither of us expected. One setback led to another, and before long, the rescue mission became a rescue mission of its own.
What happened next made for one very long and unforgettable day on the road.
