Thinkific is cutting 96 jobs, around 30% of its workforce.

But for me, the interesting bit is why.

Thinkific is putting more focus on larger organisations, enterprise customers and AI.

And reports suggest the cuts have hit areas supporting smaller businesses more heavily.

So what does that mean if you're a small business using Thinkific?

Don't panic. But definitely pay attention.

I've taken a look at what's happening, what Thinkific has actually said, and the very different response coming from EzyCourse.

EzyCourse is my preferred platform, and they're already working on an AI-first EzyCourse 2.0 while talking about keeping technology affordable.

The online learning world is changing bloody quickly.

Most of the coaches I speak to already have everything they need…You don’t need more tools...





You need your current ones to actually work together.





But setups often look like looks like:

It bit me + if I hadn't have acted so quickly I would have died.

Last week my daughter asked if I'd pop down to the most reputable reptile rescue centre in the UK to collect a snake.

My response

❌ Sorry I'm working Monday

❌ I know I'm I'm self employed but I can't just take time off

❌ I'd love to but there are more important things I've got to do.


And there I was again. Prioritising work over life 😭😭

Let me reframe some things

✅ I'm working Monday but actually this weekend is crap so I can get my work done then and take Monday off

✅ I can drop things + take time whenever I need to. What's the worst that could happen? I deliver high value to my clients when I'm working ALWAYS!

✅ Work is more important than making memories. Really?

In a session one of my business mentors I promised myself I would make it my non negotiable to take time out + not work all hours sent....

....I shouldn't have even been working this morning anyway.

But from time to time, I've been breaking these new rules + not giving myself the deserved work life balance that even a full time employee gets.

It's because I've been laser focussed on new clients.....
....and getting their online courses and community platforms up and running fast!

2026 is flying for my + my clients already.

Even the reptile guy has an online community!

So rather than talk to myself like a bully, again.....

....I got my work done over the weekend + took the day off as a reward. We made some memories.


If I hadn't acted so quick

And got bitten again by old ways of thinking...

...my commitment to myself would have died.

"It's BANK holiday in the UK, but the question is..... WHY the f*ck do banks get holidays?

Like seriously… these are the same people who:

❌ Take our money
❌ Give us f*ck all interest back
❌ Charge us fees if we dare breathe near the overdraft

And yet… THEY get the day off?!

Meanwhile, the rest of us are just trying to:

✅ Pay bills on time
✅ Get a mortgage approved before we retire
✅ Work out why a “pending” payment takes 4 days to move 10ft across the internet

Honestly — if anyone deserves a holiday, it’s us lot putting up with their sh*t.

What do you reckon… scrap bank holidays for banks? Or double holidays for the rest of us? 😏"
