hot take: the term ‘larp’ is genuinely ruining the fanbase, especially for new fans 😭

like wdym you decided to attack or humiliate a new fan just because they know little about the fandom? they’re a NEW fan of course. what do you expect? why don’t ya’ll politely correct that person instead? it’s literally not that hard to do it.

even if the person was intentionally pretending to know about the fandom for attention, you can still politely correct them like a normal person would. Unless, if they keep defending themselves, maintaining their ego, and continue to spread wrong information, I suggest you stop the argument, leave them be, and move on instead.

Because of that, I became more cautious of what I say or write whenever I entered a new fandom.
