I made the LARGE Basic Sandwich Bread Recipe in my 3.3lb Neretva Bread Maker today (see my video!). Here’s photos of how it turned out - hubby LOVED it! This is definitely going to be a popular recipe in our house, especially because it’s a really big loaf. Here’s my affiliate link to buy this bread maker on Amazon - I highly recommend it: www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9SY6R4H/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api…

Homemade Vanilla Frozen Yogurt (video coming soon!)
Makes about 2 1/4 cups

**Ingredients**

* 2 cups yogurt (see variations below)
* ¼ cup sugar*
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* ⅛ tsp fine sea salt

**Instructions**

1. Whisk together until the sugar dissolves.
2. Chill for at least 2 hours (or overnight).
3. Pour into the InstantChill.
4. Churn using the **Ice Cream** setting until thick and creamy.
5. Enjoy immediately as soft serve or freeze 1–2 hours for a firmer scoop.

### Yogurt Variations

* **Whole Milk Greek Yogurt:** Thickest and creamiest. Add 1–2 Tbsp milk if it's too thick to pour.
* **Regular Whole Milk Yogurt:** Use as written.
* **Low-Fat or Nonfat Yogurt:** For a creamier texture, add 1–2 Tbsp light corn syrup or 1 Tbsp heavy cream.
* **Plain Plant-Based Yogurt (Cashew, Almond, Oat, Soy, etc.):** Use as written. For extra creaminess, add 1 Tbsp light corn syrup or 1–2 Tbsp nut or seed butter.
* **Vanilla Yogurt:** Reduce the sugar to 2–3 Tbsp and omit the vanilla extract if desired.

*Adjust the sugar to taste depending on how sweet your yogurt already is.

What does salt do in ice cream recipes? In my recent videos about adding Coca-Cola to the InstantChill Ice Cream Maker I did one batch without salt, then one with salt. There was a noticeable difference in texture and freezing.

I asked ChatGpt this question and here’s what it said:

“Salt does much more than make ice cream taste salty. In small amounts, it improves both the flavor and texture.

Here's what it does:

1. **Enhances flavor**

* Salt makes vanilla, chocolate, fruit, and other flavors taste more vibrant.
* It reduces the perception of bitterness and balances sweetness.
* Most ice cream recipes only need **⅛–¼ teaspoon of fine salt per quart**.

2. **Makes the ice cream taste less one-dimensional**

* Without salt, homemade ice cream can taste overly sweet or flat.
* A tiny amount gives it a more "premium" flavor.

3. **Can improve texture slightly**

* Salt lowers the freezing point of the mixture a little, which can help keep the ice cream slightly softer and easier to scoop.
* However, the small amount of salt added directly to the recipe has only a minor effect compared with sugar and fat.

4. **Helps flavors linger**

* Salt makes the overall flavor more noticeable and longer-lasting, especially in vanilla and caramel ice creams.

### For sorbets and fruit freezes

Salt is still useful, even though there's no dairy.

* Add about **1 small pinch (about 1/16 teaspoon) per pint** or **⅛ teaspoon per quart**.
* It makes fruit flavors taste brighter without making the dessert salty.

### If you're using the Instant Pot InstantChill

Since you're creating very simple recipes from juices, teas, and coffees, a tiny pinch of salt can make a noticeable difference:

* **Fruit juice sorbets:** 1 pinch per batch
* **Lemonade or limeade:** 1 pinch
* **Coffee frozen desserts:** ⅛ teaspoon helps reduce bitterness.
* **Chocolate:** ⅛ teaspoon makes the chocolate flavor richer.

Many people think the secret ingredient in great homemade ice cream is vanilla, but it's often **just the right amount of salt**. Even when you can't taste the salt itself, you'll usually notice that the finished dessert tastes fuller and more balanced.”
