Panda Express turned my favorite dish, Black Pepper Chicken, into a regional dish, and a lot of people are finding out their local Panda no longer serves it. Such aggression will not stand! So I reverse engineered it from their official ingredient list, and Saturday morning I'll show you how to make it at home. Is there anything else on their menu y'all want me to figure out?
Everybody's pissed about burrito prices this week, but I've been mad about them for years. A while back I reverse engineered all of Chipotle's original recipes, the ones they used before they changed them for the worse. Rice, beans, corn salsa, the chicken marinade, all of it in one video so you can make them at home for $2-4 per burrito or burrito bowl.
I worked at a Japanese restaurant for years and we made our beef bowls wrong on purpose. I know a lot of y'all have wondered why your homemade versions never taste like the restaurant. So Friday I'll show you exactly how we did it.
Y'all didn't think I was done with Din Tai Fung after the green beans, did you? Next up is their $9 cucumber salad. I tracked down DTF's allergen guide and internal training documents to prove why every online recipe is wrong. And while I was at it, I also reverse-engineered the chili oil y'all keep asking for. Saturday morning I'll show you how to make both.
There's a guy on Reddit who says he's made Din Tai Fung's garlic green beans at least 20 times and still can't figure out why his tastes nothing like the original. So I tracked down the ingredient lists DTF trains their employees on. It turns out nearly every recipe online is missing four out of the six ingredients that goes in this dish. This Saturday I'll show you how to make DTF's String Beans with Garlic correctly.
Y'all didn't think I was done with Panda Express after Beijing Beef, did you? I've been working on Orange Chicken for months, and nobody online has gotten it right yet.I'll show you how to do it properly this Saturday.
I tested every Beijing Beef recipe online, and they all have the same problem: the sauces are all wrong, and the breading turns soggy the second the sauce hits it. Panda Express solved this by frying the beef, freezing it, then frying it again. I figured out why it works and reverse-engineered the whole recipe from their official ingredient list. Video coming this Saturday.
I've spent the last month figuring out exactly how Din Tai Fung makes their fried rice with only five ingredients. They don't use day old rice. They don't even use soy sauce! I reverse engineered their whole process so you can make Michelin star fried rice at home in about five minutes. I'll drop the video this Saturday.
They told me using a $10 bottle of French Burgundy from Walmart for Julia Child’s masterpiece was a crime. 🍷
Tomorrow morning I am putting that to the test. I remade Julia’s most famous dish with nothing but Walmart ingredients and the same inexpensive Burgundy she actually recommended.
Goal: turn a basic chuck roast into a $50 French bistro meal using real technique instead of expensive ingredients.
Video goes live tomorrow at 6:00 AM CT. Turn on notifications and come see if Walmart ruined it. 🔔
