A year ago, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to play piano the way I wanted to again.
As some of you know, I’ve spent well over the past year recovering from a pretty bad repetitive stress injury in both of my forearms. I wasn’t able to play piano for almost a year, and there were times I felt lost and wasn’t sure if it would ever get better.
Performing Clair de Lune at this recital made me realize that all of the time I spent doing rehab, adjusting my ergonomics, and improving my technique was worth it. I can finally play comfortably again, and I’m continuing to improve every day.
A huge thank you to my new piano teacher for organizing this recital and helping guide me through my recovery. I couldn’t have made it this far without your help. And thank you to everyone who has been patient with my recovery.
