Instead of giving up, I pause and redirect my attention.
I can't change how hot it is outside or that my yard isn't quite ready for the amount of shade plants need to survive and thrive.
So I take a breath, smile, and remember that this earth goddess still has the inside of her house. So... welcome the newest member of the family. 🎉🌿

About week ago, I wasn't sure this rose would make it through the Arizona heat.
I moved her into more shade, kept caring for her, and this morning she opened.
She isn't the "perfect" rose. Her petals are wild and wavy, and the rest of the plant still carries the scars of the heat.
But that's what makes her beautiful.
Today she reminded me that beauty isn't flawless. Sometimes it's the courage to bloom anyway.
I'm grateful to be her steward. 🌹💜
