The 50 States Challenge continues today! Later today I begin flying the seventh group of flights that will make up this incredible journey. Be sure to follow Skylite Productions on Instagram to follow my travels in real time.

This group of flights will cover 5 days, 9 flights, 5 airlines, and 4 states! You can think of this trip as a “redo” trip. It will cover pretty much all of the states that got missed on my previous Northeast trip when thunderstorms wreaked havoc on my plans. If all of the flying goes to plan, I’ll mark off the following 4 states!

-Massachusetts
-West Virginia
-Rhode Island
-New Hampshire

Let the challenge continue!

And don’t forget, just because a state gets marked off as far as the challenge is concerned, that doesn’t mean it can’t show up again at some point later in the challenge. It just means that I have officially marked it off, and don’t have to fly there again if it’s not needed. There will be multiple states featured several times. That’s just the way it is with the hub and spoke networks in the United States 🇺🇸.

This is a bit of a different type of post than I usually make, but I thought it was well worth getting this info out to everyone.

In July, when I was showcasing the channel at @aviationexpo, my table ended up right next to Brian Wiklem. You may recognize that name from the several aviation documentaries he's made over the years, aviation books he's written, or as the former owner of the Jet-X model company. Well, we naturally chatted a lot over those three days, and through conversation I mentioned that I loved that Jet-X made so many BAe-146 models because I had always had a fascination with the 146.

Well...Come to find out...Brian literally wrote the book on the BAe-146, its story, history, and pretty much everything you'd ever want to know about the quirky aircraft. His book "Fighting to be Heard - How the British Aerospace 146 Started the Regional Jet Revolution" is genuinely one of the best dives into the history of an aircraft that I've ever read. He gifted me a copy at Aviation Expo with no expectation that I would promote it. But now that I've had time to really go through it, it's a great book, and when I told him be happy to post sometime about it, he decided to offer anyone who orders one though the link below a genuinely great deal.
