🥔 Instant potato flakes aren't just for mashed potatoes!
I use them to thicken soups, stews and gravies. Add a little at a time until you get the thickness you want — no cornstarch slurry needed!

🫙❤️ LET'S TALK ABOUT THOSE PANTRY LABELS! ❤️🫙
You guys have been LOVING the new labels on my pantry jars, and I've gotten lots of questions about where I'm getting them and whether I'm going to make labels for everyone. So I wanted to explain a little bit about what I've been doing. 😊
First — I am more than happy to share the printers, label sizes and supplies I'm using, and I'll put links below for anyone who wants to jump on the label bandwagon with me! 😂
But I also want you to know that this has been a BIG project on my end. These labels don't work well on every jar. I've actually had to buy a LOT of new jars with smooth, flat sides so the larger labels will fit properly. Between the jars, different sizes of labels, testing, designing, printing and redoing things until I get them right, it has taken a lot of time AND money.
Because of that, I just can't take on making individual labels or custom label sets for everyone. ❤️ I hope you understand. I want Nessa's Nook to stay fun for me too, and there are only so many hours in the day! 😂
BUT I absolutely CAN help you learn how I'm doing mine. If you want to start labeling your own pantry, I'll share what I've learned, what sizes are working for me, what hasn't worked 😂, and the products I'm using so you can create a system that works for YOUR pantry.
And remember — you certainly don't have to replace all your jars like I have! I'm doing this because I wanted a particular look and wanted my labels to fit a certain way. Use what works for YOU and your budget. ❤️

I do want to say one thing — I am never going to be one of those channels that constantly pushes merchandise at you. That's just not me. I want you here for the recipes, the pantry mixes, the laughs, the occasional kitchen mess 😂 and our little community we've built together.

❤️ Just a little thank you from my heart...
Some days I get overwhelmed. I look at the dishes in the sink, the recipes waiting to be made, videos that need to be filmed, edited and uploaded, and everything else that comes with keeping Nessa's Nook going... and sometimes I wonder if I can keep doing it all.
And then one of you leaves me a message.
You tell me that a recipe I shared years ago is still sitting in your pantry. That you make it over and over again. That you shared one of my mixes with your children and now THEY make it too. Or you simply tell me that you're going to try something I made.
And suddenly I remember exactly why I keep turning that camera on. ❤️
What I make in my kitchen doesn't just stay in my kitchen. Somehow, through this little channel, pieces of it have found their way into your kitchens, onto your dinner tables, into your recipe boxes and sometimes even into another generation of your family.
I don't think I could ever properly explain what that means to me.
You may think you're just leaving me a comment, watching a video, printing a recipe or making one of my little pantry mixes... but on the other side of that screen is a woman reading your words, sometimes with tears in her eyes, thinking “THIS is why I do it.”
Thank you for allowing me into your homes. Thank you for trusting my recipes. Thank you for laughing with me when things don't go quite as planned. Thank you for encouraging me on the hard days. And most of all, thank you for making Nessa's Nook feel like so much more than a YouTube channel.
I hope when you come here, you feel like you've pulled up a chair in my kitchen and you're spending a little time with a friend. Because that's exactly how I feel about all of you.
You make every mess, every dish, every late night and every time I wonder “why am I doing this?” worth it.
