Mandi Lynn - Stone Ridge Books
Weekly videos on the business of being an author and making an income as a creative entrepreneur.
Mandi Lynn published her first novel when she was seventeen. The author of Essence, I am Mercy and She’s Not Here, Mandi spends her days continuing to write and creating YouTube videos to help other writers achieve their dreams of seeing their books published. Mandi is the owner of Stone Ridge Books, a company that works to help authors bring their books to life through cover design and book formatting. She is also the creator of The Book Launch Planner, a planner designed to help authors publish and market their books. When she’s not creating, you can find Mandi exploring her backyard or getting lost in the woods.

I had three go viral, so today I’m going to talk about how this impacted sales. Let’s go over all my social media and book sales stats from the past thirty days together!

Revenge in Rome is a fake-dating closed door romance set in Italy! It has all the banter and swoon without the spice, but plenty of petty revenge. It’s live NOW on Kickstarter for limited time!

✨ What is Kickstarter? ✨
Think of Kickstarter as a fun way of doing book pre-orders! Indie authors are often limited in the type of books they can print. If we want to do special editions, we have to invest a lot of money to do so, so Kickstarter allows us to crowdfund to create amazing editions of books!

Earlier this week, I did a book signing event with 60+ authors. Because this event was so big, it had a lot of potential, but with an event with this many authors…sometimes the market gets a little competitive. If you’re going to have 60+ authors, then you need a LOT of foot traffic at the event to sell books. So I was doubtful. But watch the book signing vlog to see how it went!

I asked on Instagram if you guys wanted to see a behind-the-scenes look at designing the special edition books for Kickstarter, and you all said YES! I couldn’t show the entire process because, well, it takes a long time to design, and I can’t sit in front of a camera all day. So instead, I settled on filming a super fun and busy day-in-the-life video to show you how I fit work into my schedule with two kids. And of course, I’ll give you a look at how I designed my books!
