Looking back at 2025, we’re feeling incredibly grateful!
2025 was full of long days, complex installs, problem-solving, and meeting some truly amazing people along the way. We completed dozens of RV installs along with quite a few off grid cabin power wall builds. Every RV, cabin, and off-grid setup that came through our shop reminded us why we do this in the first place — the people.
To every customer who trusted us with your power system, asked questions, learned alongside us, and believed in doing things the right way — thank you. Your support allows us to keep building safe, reliable systems and to keep educating instead of cutting corners.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited. More growth, more learning, more innovation, and continuing to help people power their adventures with confidence and clarity.
We appreciate every single one of you more than we can put into words.

Happy 2023 everyone! What in the world have we been up to? We traveled the USA for 5 full years, and though we still live full-time in our RV (and we are nowhere near finished traveling yet), we decided to open an RV solar installation business. It has been an incredible, successful journey and we are enjoying helping so many people get the off-grid solutions they need to live a more sustainable life while boondocking in their RV. We outgrew our building in less than 6 months and we are currently booked out over 2 months in advance. We are definitely blessed! We'd love for you to come and check out some of our amazing work at Panels Up Solar (dot) com. We are also a Harvest Host location, so we'd love to host anyone who might be traveling through or visiting our HGTV-made famous town of Laurel, MS.
We now have 2 beautiful granddaughters we are just so smitten over. They are wonderful and beautiful, and we are lucky that mommy calls us on Facetime almost daily to talk to them. We are so very blessed in so many ways! We hope to connect and chat with all of you! Come visit!

Back to our roots and why we decided to take this journey.
Hello subscribers and sorry it has been so long. I wanted to give you a little update to let you know that we doing ok. For those that follow along on our other forms of social media, you might have noticed we have had some pretty incredible things happen for us. The biggest being that we are now Grandparents to a beautiful girl named Emberlyn. With that being said, our travel plans are now going to be directed more to the east coast. So what does that mean? Well because we will be traveling and exploring more, we hope to have more travel related videos and reviews for locations, product reviews, and full-time RVing tips. At the same time we are also going to be getting back into the solar education, and videos. I am also looking into some upgrades to our home system to make better use of shore power. All of this means more video content and lessons. Until the content starts getting uploaded you can still follow us on our journey through our other social media formats or at our blog at OptingOutofNormal.com.
