It is 16 YEARS since Acoustic EP came out. My first ever release. I’m sat here trying to write a caption and it’s defrosting so many memories..

I was 16. I was uploading my music online and trying to figure out what to do next. It was such an exciting time. Having a community online who are engaged with the music you’re making was new.
Making and releasing something independently from the get go wasn’t the norm and in hindsight it felt like we were at the start of what the music industry is today.
We didn’t do the done thing of the time which was to approach a major label. It was just my management and I who were committed to make something new and doing it a different way.

We released this EP independently. Made and released by a small trusted team of people who believed in what I was doing and trying to create.
In a mad turn of events I ended up in front of Rankin’s camera. He had agreed to shoot the artwork. I genuinely couldn’t believe he said yes. Just me and my ET t-shirt against the world lol
We put on a small run of shows to accompany the release. The EP charted and the shows sold out. This was real!! Real people care in real life!
And then we got really excited and it snowballed into exactly where we are now. It was the foundation for Never Fade and all the artists we have worked with and championed.

And now I’m in almost the exact same position as I was half my life ago. Feeling like I’ve come full circle, ready to go around again. Isn’t that so exciting!
