Coming in December! It may be about 5 months later than I originally said it would be ready, but OPENING WEEKEND is now in the final stages, and we're prepping for a December launch of the book.
"Opening weekend can make or break a movie. And the $300-million spy thriller The Morning Never Comes could make or break the struggling Meridian Pictures.
Days before the premiere, the rollout spirals into chaos. An unexpected crisis sidelines the film's biggest star. A critical drive goes missing. An unauthorized trailer reaches millions of viewers. Key theater bookings mysteriously vanish.
Investigator Markus Vale is brought in to find out what's going wrong before the studio collapses—taking his sister Natalie's post-production company down with it. But as Markus follows a trail of suspicious decisions, corporate secrets, and mounting financial pressure, he faces an increasingly troubling question: Is Meridian simply the victim of a spectacular run of bad luck, or is someone working behind the scenes to bring it down?
With millions of dollars, careers, and his sister's future hanging in the balance, Markus races against the clock to uncover the truth.
But as opening weekend draws closer, the stakes become far more dangerous than anyone imagined."
Final Halloween costume update. My wife (Dr. Ann Campea) is very excited for GTA 6 so she decided to spend Halloween night as Lucia. I think she could play her in the movie.
Asking for your help. During my Movie Meet Up in San Francisco, I had the opportunity to meet and hang out a little with this wonderful couple (who are bakers!) Ali and Daphani. They even brought me a box of cupcakes, which forever puts anyone in my good books! More importantly, they also work to feed homeless people in their community. Their story inspired me. Daphani is in hospital battling cancer, and she's also battling medical bills to keep up. PLEASE visit her GoFundMe page and donate ANYTHING. I would be deeply grateful. GoFund.me/872f2bcbb
Due to a technical issue with a component in my van, I am unable to hit the road thus I regret to announce that this leg of THE MOVIE MEET-UP TOUR has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date. If you already bought your movie tickets, go enjoy the movies or cancel them with the theater you bought them from.
