We take a country's legal minimum wage, convert it at the real market rate on the day we publish, and measure it against what people genuinely pay.
💵 Wages: minimum and average, and what they are worth in dollars
🏠 Housing: rent in the capital and outside it
🛒 Food: a week of groceries and the price of meat
🚌 Everyday costs: transport, fuel, schooling, healthcare
📊 What is left at the end of the month
No rankings, no clickbait economics. Figures come from statistics offices, central banks, the World Bank, the IMF and the ILO.
Some of it is hard to believe. Most of it will make you look twice at what you pay at home.
