Once again, the issue of extreme school violence is top of mind as we mourn the tragedy of the Uvalde School Shooting. As we have seen in the past, there may be calls for action on the issues of gun control and mental health, committees may form to look at solutions, but what we really need is a solution that makes a difference. What we do here at CPPS is the difference maker and our solution works for everyone, no matter their background or political affiliation.
Since 2002, CPPS has empowered millions of adults and many school-aged children to become stakeholders in their own safety and security through equipping them to recognize and respond to behaviors of concern. Our School Safety Program is the only comprehensive violence prevention and response program designed for K-12 schools that we are aware of.
