Let me tell y’all something—and I’m talking to MYSELF too. It is NEVER too late to change your life.
At some point, you’ve got to stop putting everybody else first and leaving yourself whatever is left over. Sometimes you have to look in that mirror and say, “Hold on now... I matter too!”
I can’t do a doggone thing about yesterday. Yesterday is GONE! But today? Oh, I can do something with TODAY.
I don't have to fix everything overnight. I don't have to be perfect. I just have to START. Make one better decision today, then get up tomorrow and make another one.
And am I going to mess up sometimes? ABSOLUTELY! But messing up ain't the same thing as giving up. If I fall down, I'm getting my behind back up and getting right back in this race!
And understand something: I'm not changing because I don't love myself. I'm changing BECAUSE I love myself. I want to feel better. I want to be stronger. I want to enjoy my life. And I want to become the best version of me for THIS season of my life.
I've spent years showing up for everybody else. Well, guess what?
It's time for me to show up for ME!
I'm choosing myself. I'm choosing growth. I'm choosing consistency. I'm choosing my future. And I'm not waiting until Monday, next month, or New Year's Day.
I'm starting TODAY.
Because baby, hear me when I say this...
