Regret to say production has taken a lot longer to get on track on the new rig. Runs like a charm but I underestimated the time and effort required to move everything I need to edit and all of the terabytes of Dexter footage onto the new system.
Frankly, very annoyed the current video I'm working on is still so far behind schedule, but its still going, if slowly.
Next Dexter video is still 2 or 3 weeks out, I'm afraid, but have faith it will be a good one 👍
If you're wondering why its been over a week since the Hitman video released and there hasn't been a YT short version of it yet, its because I've been without a computer for essentially about a week.
Long story short: I've been having problems rendering and recording for about six months and things have degraded to the point it was severely affecting production, so I had no choice but to get it repaired only to discover both the CPU AND the GPU were damaged from a bad processor (Intel Core i9-13900KF), and my computer is in the shop.
Fortunately its covered under warranty, but it won't be able to be repaired for some time (4 to 8 weeks), so tomorrow I'll be biting the bullet, so to speak, and buying an outright new and upgraded PC that should serve me even better than the last, and it will take a few days to get everything back up and running to normal again.
This shouldn't affect the schedule of any upcoming videos, as I've been trying to accomplish what I can on a older, weaker PC in the meantime, but it has thrown a wrench into the usual workflow.
Side note: Speaking of video schedule,
I forgot there was some major Marvel releases coming up in September, so the Daredevil video may come out before the Halloween video.
It may, it may not, I don't really know yet without a PC to work on and figure out what's best to tackle next, so stay tuned to find out. ;D
