Bat in the Sun is an independent self contained film and music production company. Our goal is to continue creating intelligent works in both film and music that entertain and inspire.
A glimpse of our crew on our new Beat Down! Did you know we had over 40 people work on this project?! Many of these people we’ve been collaborating with for over ten years!

DID YOU KNOW? For both of our Batman crowdfunding campaigns, we personally invested a significant amount of our own money on top of what was raised.
For our most recent Kickstarter the return of Super Power Beat Down with Batman vs. Shredder we raised roughly $40,000. About 10% went to Kickstarter and processing fees, and approximately $12,000 went toward rewards, shipping, and the team handling fulfillment. That left roughly $23,000–$24,000 to actually put toward the production.
The final cost of Batman vs. Shredder was a little over $100,000, meaning we personally contributed around $80,000 of our own money to make the episode happen.
We took the same approach with Batman: Dying Is Easy. That campaign raised approximately $78,000, and after campaign expenses and fulfillment, roughly $62,000 remained for production. The finished film ultimately cost around $150,000, with us personally funding the remainder.
So when we hear people suggest that we somehow “pocketed” Kickstarter money for profit, it’s honestly pretty ironic. These campaigns didn't make us money, they helped us make projects that would have otherwise been impossible, and we invested heavily alongside the fans to bring them to life.
We care deeply about these projects, and we've consistently been willing to put our own money behind them because we believe in what we're creating and in delivering something worthwhile to the people who support us.
I’ve been seeing more about some false allegations from things that were taken out of context, AI/photoshop creations or simply fake testimonies. Should I make a text post or a video clarifying all of it? (I don’t know half the silly allegations out there) or should I just ignore it and not waste my time and focus on more projects? What do you guys think? I ask, because I care what you, my fans want? I love my community and always want to do my best for you all. If so, what do you think I should clarify? ❤️
